Stunning Architect designed holiday home located just a short stroll from the main beach in the centre of town and well hidden from the street. Perfect for 2 Families to share this amazing 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom light-filled oasis.

The Space:
Sunshine Hideaway

The light-filled Sunshine Hideaway 5 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom beach house provides the perfect accommodation for the decerning guest, families, or groups wanting to escape to the ultimate beach hideaway.

Located in secluded Sandy Point, just 200km from the CBD, the idyllic location, ample facilities, and convenience to the entire South Gippsland make it the perfect base for a holiday any time of year. With activities to suit all types of weather and interests, you are certain to have a great time with everything on offer here, you will be sure to return again soon!

The House
Positioned perfectly and dotted with native trees, the house itself has just become a Holiday Home (2021/22 summer) and is in excellent condition. It has all the benefits and facilities of a new build. The modern beach house features sunny light-filled living areas that open out onto a large outdoor deck with seating for 10, and a HUGE gas BBQ that rolls into a native garden. There is an outdoor hot shower, perfect after a stint at the beach.

The 5 bedrooms, 2 large living areas (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) both with TV's and 3 bathrooms accommodate up to 10 people, with 3 queen size beds upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs. One is a bunk room with 4 single beds and the 5th bedroom comes with a tri-bunk (double bed with a single above) in total (Bedroom 1: Queen; Bedroom 2: Queen; Bedroom 3: Queen; Bedroom 4: 2 x bunks; Bedroom 5 tri-bunk).

BYO LINEN:
Bedding is provided but guests must bring their own linen and towels.

There is an indoor dining area seating 10 and a chef's dream kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, zip tap, chef's knives, and stainless steel benches. The coffee pod machine make is L'OR Sublime Compact so bring along your favourite style single or double L'OR pods or Nespresso Original to enjoy. There is also a coffee plunger for those that prefer drinking filtered coffee.

The open plan living area has comfortable seating with a television, DVD/Blue Ray, Chromecast, and great stereo which connects to any head-jack or via bluetooth. There are even some board games to help keep everyone entertained well into the evening.

Longer stays are made easier with the washing machine, dryer, ironing facility.

There is parking to the front of the property for 2 cars

Fast internet is available at the property along with Chromecast both upstairs and downstairs.

There are strictly No Pets at this property.

The Location

Picturesque Sandy Point patrolled beach is a pleasant 3 to 5-minute walk away from the house past the local playground, general store, and milk bar. The Shallow Inlet, famous for windsurfing and fishing is a short 5-minute drive.

Sandy Point recreation facilities suitable for children and families include the mini golf on the foreshore, the Surf Lifesaving Club, Children's Playgrounds, Tennis courts, and a half basketball court all within walking distance of Sunshine Hideaway.

Numerous recreation and relaxation facilities are within reach such as golf courses, bush walks, fine restaurants, and of course the South Gippsland's popular wineries, cideries, and art galleries. Accessible to both Wilson's Promontory and South Gippsland the location makes it an easy drive to the popular Squeaky Beach, Waratah Bay, Walkerville, Venus Bay, Inverloch, Port Welshpool, and Port Franklin. Take a day trip to Tarra Bulga National Park and enjoy a hike amongst the tall trees and ferns.

Enjoy the convenience of shopping facilities in Foster, just 20 minutes away, with the luxury of being able to return to the peace and tranquillity of Sandy Point. The Sandy Point convenience store provides convenience within walking distance of the house and supplies a selection of food, fishing goods, household items, magazines, and a bottle shop. The famous Fish Creek Hotel is 20 minutes away and Meeniyan is a 30-minute drive where you can enjoy several great places to eat.

STRICTLY NO SCHOOLIES or BUCKS/HENS NIGHTS

PLEASE NOTE: There is a strict NO PARTY policy. The house is located in a residential area and noise and public disturbances will not be tolerated. Guests will be asked to leave the premises without notice should noise or nuisance complaints are received or if the number of guests exceeds the number confirmed at the time of booking.

Guest Access:
You have use of the entire house and yard.
Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.

The Neighborhood:
Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approx. 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory. The property is located close to the Ocean beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. At Sandy Point there is a Surf Lifesaving club which patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events.
Launch a boat from Shallow Inlet for or enjoy kite surfing & jet skiing (not supplied).
The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, boat hire, petrol, gas, alcohol and an Australia Post outlet.

A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade.
Playgrounds & public BBQ areas are located next to the Sandy Point Hall.
Tennis courts are located behind the Sandy Point hall and equipment can be hired from the
General Store.
The Sandy Point Hall hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer.
If you are staying at Port Welshpool you are very close to the world famous Port Welshpool Long Jetty, and the departure jetty for cruises to Wilson's Prom, as well as Port Albert and other towns.
If you are staying at Fish Creek or Waratah Bay, it's only a short trip to Meeniyan, driving on some of the most picturesque country roads in South Gippsland.
If you are staying in Toora, you are only 20 minutes from Foster, and surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of South Gippsland.

Getting Around:
Sandy Point is a small coastal town, so walking is the preferred method of getting around. Cars are required to get around if you wish to explore the country side and surrounding areas

Other Things to Note:
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
