Quaint Farmhouse

We had a great stay at this property. The house was very spacious and we easily slept 14 people. Amenities at the house were great for a weekend get away. We had everything we needed to cook meals at the house instead of venturing out. The property manager was fantastic to work with and gracious with us for a minor request on checkout day. We highly recommend the property!

So serene!

The house is very close to San Marcos and Kyle, but it feels perfectly away from everyone. The house and landscaping are beautiful, and we really enjoyed the path down to the river! The house itself was perfect for the family, so charming and lovely. We had a great time!

We were disappointed that we could not see the river as shown in listing due to plant growth and underbrush. No showers upstairs. Furniture was so low that some of the older folks had difficulty getting out of bed and/or couches. All that said, we had a great time and Deda was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.

A Lovely, Spacious Getaway

Myself and 10 close friends came here to escape the city and celebrate my birthday. We enjoyed cooking large meals in the well equipped kitchen and eating them out on the deck which overlooks a nice wooded area with the river just down the hill. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well appointed and the grounds make for a lovely, peaceful and tranquil retreat environment. The Owner is fantastic: accommodating and communicative. I will be renting this place again I’m the future.

Trip to San Marcos

Deda is an exceptional host. She was available to answer all questions. Her property is very warm and welcoming. We felt right at home during our stay. Although we were there for a memorial it is a nice setting for a get away! When we go back to San Marcos I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property with mature trees that surround it on all sides.

The house was so comfortable and well laid out. There was room for all of us to unwind and relax. The tall trees created a perfect area for the kids to play.

Comfortable Home

This is a comfortable home located on the banks of the Blanco River. The home was well stocked with linens & towels. The house sits on a big lot with big oak trees. The home feels secluded but you're only a 5 minute drive into town. The backyard deck was a wonderful spot in the mornings and evenings. The river water level was low but we found a good spot nearby to cool off. Deda was such a great host and was quick to answer all our questions. She was so helpful by suggesting things to do in the area. Thank, Deda for sharing your home and we look forward to staying here again.

San Marcos Kayaking & Hiking

We really enjoyed the house. It provides the feel of being out in the country, yet it sets really close to the city. It was plenty big. Due to the COVID19, our party was much smaller than previously planned. The kitchen was well equipped (and had extras). Our ONLY "concern" was that the can openers did not work. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. Lastly, our fur baby enjoyed the yard. Thank you

Weekend family getaway

We went with family to daughters graduation and house worked awesome for our big family. We had a great time. Very convenient for graduation and floating the river, and shopping and bar hopping. There were lots of centipedes at night all over floor, very small and don't hurt but you are on the river. The house is old so not perfect, but would definately stay again.

Big place, stocked well, bugs & cleanliness issues

The place was big and stocked well with furnishings. Hostess was warm and friendly. The cleanliness of the sheets and pillows ranged from clean to questionable/old. Cooking utensils were well-used. There were several little bugs (we think millipedes) that would crawl around in the kitchen and living room areas. Probably swept away a hundred or so.

Our group loved this house. It was super eclectic and had plenty of space for us. Our only complaint was that there were centipedes all over. We didn't mind it too terribly, but if you were squeamish about bugs, it could be a problem.

Very cozy and nice

The property was perfect for our big group. There were places to sleep in comfort throughout and the acceptance of allowing our dogs aas a major plus. They are apart of the family and hate to leave them behind. They did have some critters around, but nothing crazy or dangerous in anyway. Communication was perfect. The river area just below the property was perfect for kids and adults. The kids can play without being concerned with deep water. That was another major bonus Will definitely share the property with others

Wonderful retreat for the family

We stayed here for a family reunion and loved the home. It was very well decorated and set up for our family. The owner was such a sweet lady and really made her home a welcoming place. We enjoyed our stay and want to come back already.

River by the backyard

The kids enjoyed playing the backyard.Its an old house but was comfortable. The bedding's in the downstairs bedroom and sofas had some stains, we had to put towels over them. Overall a decent place for weekend getaway with family.
