« This cabin was the perfect basecamp for a couple of days of skiing at Purgatory. Completely private and just minutes from the resort, it’s ideally located between Durango and Silverton.The cabin was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. « Rivers Edge Retreat has been one of the best places we have stayed during our travels. Better than advertised and owner spares no expense with the HIGH quality of everything inside and out. Distance to town was perfect drive, got to see elk herd on way home from dinner about 5:45-6pm on 335 road to house. We dont see them in Texas so it was very neat. « Such a wonderful and unique place to stay! Super cute, very clean and comfortable. It got down below freezing overnight but the pellet stove kept us toasty warm and felt like sleeping by the fireplace. Mesa Verde was closed due to the government shutdown but after spending a week touring the Utah parks we were happy to have some relaxing downtime and this was the perfect place for it. Definitely the most comfortable bed ever! »
