The host was welcoming and the location was lovely and very private. The pool was very nice and clean. However, there were a number of issues with the property that need to be addressed before I would recommend staying here. Inside, the house smelled musty and there were mold spots on the ceiling, either leaks or moisture from humidity. The dishes were dirty, the hot water was lukewarm, the countertops need to be replaced, the icemaker was not connected, some of the light switches were missing faceplates. The pots and pans were pretty old as were the stove, and there was no cutting board, although the refrigerator was nice and new. There was no soap for the dishwasher, although there was liquid dish soap. There were plenty of towels, but no washcloths.The deck boards on the balcony are somewhat dry rotted and slippery, although they were solid. The exterior of the house and the veranda was freshly painted and the patio furniture was excellent, but the outbuilding next to the house is in serious disrepair and had discarded equipment and trash inder it. The landscaping was lovely, but is badly overgrown and needs some attention. There were two propane grills and they were in decent condition, but one had no tank and and the other had an empty tank. The pump for the pool was also very noisy, which distracted from the incredible surroundings.
