The Space:

Villa Aquamare is a fully renovated 2 bed 2 bath beachfront apartment located at the Ocean Villas Building within the Wyndham Rio Mar Grand Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. You will love the ocean and pool views from both terraces, the living room, and one of the bedrooms. The condominium has 3 ocean-front pools and a jacuzzi, all within walking distance. The beach is across the pool and there are lounge chairs available for our guests to use.



Aquamare’s two-bed, two-bath layout, and immediate proximity to 3 pools and a mile-long beach make it the ideal property for couples and families looking for the perfect, no-hassle Caribbean vacation.



**PLEASE DO NOTE THAT THE OCEAN VILLAS BUILDING IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE WYNDHAM RIO MAR RESORT.**



IMPORTANT NOTE: Guests **are not** authorized to use ALL of the Wyndham Hotel amenities and facilities. Villa Aquamare’s guests only have access to the Iguana's Cocina Puertorriqueña Restaurant and the Hotel Casino, as well as the Golf Courses, Tennis Courts & Spa (all available with prior reservation booked directly with the hotel). The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the building and they reserve the right of admission.



Please do note that this can change at any time without the hotel informing us and should take this under consideration before booking the unit.





LIVING AREAS



The living room has comfortable seating for six adults and a flat-screen smart TV. The living room has pool and beach views and a terrace with a breakfast table for four and a modern hanging chair. The dining room has a four-person round dining table and is seamlessly connected to the living room. There is air conditioning throughout the entire apartment.



The property includes a washer and dryer for your convenience.





SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed with an armchair and smart TV. The master bathroom is fully renovated and features a double sink and standing shower.



The 2nd bedroom has two queen beds, an ocean-front terrace with 2 chairs, smart TV, and a dedicated full bathroom with a shower.





PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





KITCHEN



Villa Aquamare has a fully renovated kitchen that is small and tidy but well-outfitted for an extended stay. The kitchen features a 4-burner stovetop, microwave, oven, ice maker, and fridge.





GETTING AROUND & PARKING



The villa includes one (1) parking spot.



Renting a car is a must when staying in Rio Grande as Ubers and taxis are not readily available in this area.



There are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate.





LOCATION



This private beachfront villa is located at the Ocean Villas Community, within the grounds of - but not associated with - the 500-acre Wyndham Rio Mar Grand Resort & Spa. The Ocean Villas community boasts three oceanfront pools and a jacuzzi available for use of community residents and guests only. There is 24-hour security and underground parking. The Ocean Villas are directly in front of the beach and include access to beach lounge chairs.



There are many things to do in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico in addition to enjoying the amazing beaches and pools.



Here are our top picks which you will be sure to enjoy during your stay:



Explore the lush and exotic El Yunque, the only rainforest under US Flagship.

Experience the glowing waters on a nightly kayak tour in the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo.

Taste the local flavors at the staple Luquillo kiosks on the beach.

Go on horseback or a four-track ride off the beaten path in Carabali Rainforest Park.

Drive 20 minutes to Fajardo and enjoy a boat charter tour to neighboring islands that depart from its ports.

Reserve one of the 13 tennis courts and 2 golf courses available at the Wyndham Resort.

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge

- A small amount of laundry detergent



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 6 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Aquamare and the Wyndham Rio Grande and would definitely recommend both. We appreciated the early check-in. The unit was clean and welcoming and had the amenities we needed and then some! Good cooking items, cooler, beach chairs, extra towels, boogie boards, sand toys & more. Beds and pillows were comfortable and we enjoyed the swinging chair on the balcony. Communications were prompt and very helpful. We would highly recommend!

The minute we walked in, we stood there and let the view sink in. You can't beat the pool, palm trees and the ocean staring right back at you. The place was clean and up to date. With two teens we were so grateful for all the space and that they had their own bathroom. We came to relax but we took advantage of a two hour guided tour of Old San Juan and also a UTV tour through the Carabali Rainforest, the latter just 10 minutes drive away. It's safe to say we didn't want to return to our regular life.Thank you so much for allowing us to stay

Great Stay!

We’re a family of 4 with 2 teens and absolutely loved this location for spring break. The pictures are exactly like what is seen at the condo. Checking in was easy. Door Code provided before we arrived. We still stopped in the office and met some of the property managers. You will see them a lot walking around taking care of the property. They were very helpful getting pool toys, making recommendations, etc. The condo was well stocked and clean. You have access to 2 pools and a big hot tub right on the beach. We never had issues getting lounge chairs and sometimes we had the pools completely to ourselves. We could walk over anytime to the main resort to get drinks and eat at the restaurants. 5 min walk. Food and drinks were good. You can rent a cabana to use their pools but we thought the pools at our resort were better and less crowded. Breakfast buffet at the Roots was a favorite.

Spotless upgraded unit. Hosts very helpful and responsive. LOVED the beach. Easy walk to the resort hotel restaurants and pool bar. Richies restaurant up the hill was awesome. Loking forward to returning.

Spacious Rooms & Fantastic Views

We had a few issues early on. There was a lot of confusion as to who to contact prior to arrival and the parking remote did not work upon arrival. West Indies Vacation Rentals was listed as the host but trying to contact them was near impossible. We reached out to VRBO, but we still had to make more phone calls to reach someone who could help. Finally we made contact with our host, Neysha, who was very helpful in accommodating us once we were able to reach her. As for the condo itself, the rooms are spacious and the view is fantastic. The only negative is that the spacing around the toilet in the secondary restroom is a bit narrow, which might be a problem for larger individuals or anyone with disabilities. This unit is very nice and well equipped. The stairs and an elevator are close to the unit as well. The location is fantastic. You can hear the outdoors from the secondary bedroom, specifically, the coqui, which was very relaxing for us. The beach is very close and accessible and there are ample hot tubs and pools to choose from. We never experienced a crowd neither at the pools, hot tub nor the beach when we went on the third week of May. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the near future.

Relaxing time

Very nice place for a family looking for a short beach vacation. Friendly staff, access to the resort restaurants and close to other attractions like the rain forest and old San Juan. It was our first time in PR and we had a great time.

Amazing View

We had a great stay. The view cannot be beat. The picture of the view overlooking the pool and beach are 100% accurate. You could basically watch your kids swim in the pool from your own porch. The place had everything you could need. Boogie boards, beach chairs, beach toys, a blender, etc. It’s maybe a 7 minute walk down the beach to get to the poolside bar/restaurant “It’s 5:00 Somewhere.” (They have good burgers, chicken tenders, and frozen drinks.) We were here Easter week and the pool never seemed crowded and we could always find a chair. (The wristband system is enforced so don’t plan to bring a big group in that is not staying in your unit.) We had one small issue that the fixed within hours. They were very responsive to all our questions. Would stay again!

Stunning ocean view, great location, and resort

Just spent 6 days at Ocean Villa’s. The location of this unit is spectacular. You are steps from two beautiful pools and the beach and a short walk to Wyndham Grand Resort (which you have access to). Golf and Spa was worth the money. This property had everything you need, from beach chairs to a blender! We ate three nights at Roots. Small casino but we loved it! Property manager very responsive. Loved, loved this vacation!

A brief winter reprieve

My partner and I flew to PR from MN and our daughter and family joined us from Chicago. Their boys, ages 5 & 7 took full advantage of the pool just in front of our condo and the beach just steps beyond. Everything was so convenient! The place was clean and we wanted for nothing in terms of kitchen and other ammenities. So great to be able to do a load of wash before we moved on to our next adventure. No one wanted to leave though!
