In the evening enjoy a sunset wine and cheese Happy Hour or bonfire with s’mores at the public fire pits. Easy access to the tidepools beneath the pier with a variety of sea life including starfish, crabs, urchins, and fish.

Fun Things to do in OB!

1. Check out the TIDEPOOLS, there are great tide pools under the pier at low tide. If you want a little more adventure tide pooling walk along the seawall and under the pier, follow the path past the white fence to the stairs that lead to the cliffs. Walk along the cliffs, check out the tide pools, the views and end up at a beach that can only be accessed from the cliffs.

2. Drive along SUNSET CLIFFS NATURAL PARK go to Sunset Cliffs Blvd and go south (right) drive along the cliffs and park at any of the parking lots, stroll along the path or drive to the end of the road (stay right at the fork in the road). Park at the end of the street to walk down a staircase that leads to great tidepools, views and a beach only accessed by the cliffs! Worth the walk down the stairs!

3. Have a BONFIRE ON THE BEACH grab some firewood from the market, grocery store or gas station and head to the one of the fire pits on the beach. Great way to relax and watch the sunset, roast some hotdogs and make some s’mores!

4. Try a SURF LESSON there are lots of great places to surf in San Diego, learn how right on this beach! Check out Ocean Beach Surf School, they are right around the corner and offer private, semi private and group lessons, they have rentals as well.

5. WALK OUT ON THE PIER enjoy the views, watch the fishermen, the surfers and the birds fly by. Or try fishing! There is a café with good food and great views. This is the west coasts longest concrete pier and just celebrated 50 years!

6. On Wednesday’s check out the FARMERS MARKET local farmers, restaurants, bakeries, musicians and more!

7. HOP A BIKE and cruise around.

8. STROLL ALONG NEWPORT AVE. there are lots of unique shops along Newport Ave.

9. Take a drive to CABRILLO NATIONAL PARK beautiful drive on top of Ocean Beach/Point Loma to the end of the peninsula. Stunning views of the San Diego Harbor, Downtown, the Ocean, Coronado and even Mexico! As you drive out to the park, you will see Fort Roserans National Cemetery. Check out the Original Lighthouse, the museum and even drive down to the tide pools.

10. Head over to Point Loma and check out LIBERTY STATION they have museums, restaurants, a movie theater, the Public Market lots of events, a waterfront park. You can find Stone Brewery there too.

11. In Point Loma, enjoy a HUMPHREYS CONCERTS BY THE BAY, great list of musicians each year.

12. SPORT FISHING head over the Point Loma for fun ½ day or full day of sport fishing!

The location is perfect; short walk to the beach and lots of restaurants nearby. The home is super clean and had everything we needed, including beach chairs and boogie boards. We loved our stay and hope to rent the same place every time we are back in San Diego. Communication was excellent. I highly recommend this home!

Very clean and comfortable. Perfect location if you want to spend time at the beach. Parking was a little dicey...even though property rules say no large vehicles, there were several which made it difficult to park in our narrow little space. A lot of foot traffic which results in a lot of noise. Restraunts and shops within a couple blocks. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Love the location, easy to get around without driving. The unit was clean and tastefully decorated. The 2 minute walk to the beach, made it wonderful for nightly walks. Only one very small take away was the unit didn't have a keurig, just a standard coffee pot. All and all I would definitely stay here again!

Loved the location and the home, it was just what I expected, you’re only steps from the beach, I love dog beach, and a very short walk to all the stores and restaurants. The house was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!

This is exactly what my family was hoping for. Comfortable space and a few steps from the beach. The ability to grab a provided beach chair from your own yard and walk across some grass to the Pacific coast is what makes this space so valuable to us. Close enough to the action to be interesting, far enough to be calm and peaceful. If I forget to bring something to the beach, no big deal just walk back in my front door to get it. Also easy access to Point Loma, the bay and downtown. Great for my family of teens. My 14 year old loved getting ebikes and my college athlete ran to sunset cliffs and then down the coast. Two of my kids surf so it was easy to rent a board and go on a whim. Ocean beach has it's own unique vibe that works for us. Interior finish of the space is very nice. Laundry and two showers is great to have. Nitpick is shared parking is tricky (but at least there is parking, and right by the beach).

Great modern rental right next to ocean beach. Very clean with nice amenities and a fully stocked kitchen. Perfect rental for a family. Parking was frustrating due to a shared stacked parking spot, but we made it work. Recommend a top floor unit due to sound you can hear in the bottom unit. But we had a great time, and you can’t heat the location; walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Would come again!

This house is in the perfect location. Steps to the beach and great views from the porch. We had the downstairs unit and everything was really cute! We had a great time staying here!Everything was in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the tide pools!My only complaint is the parking. There are 4 units and only 3 parking spots. Yes, there is a ton of street parking, however they are always full. A couple of times we had to park a couple of blocks away. We did go on a holiday week so not sure if that was abnormally busy.
