Neighborhood Overview:
Mission Beach is a classic beach community in San Diego, California. The apartment is blocks away from Belmont Park and overlooks Mission Beach Park with BBQ grills, grassy areas and picnic tables. The beach community can be both quiet and cozy, or active and bustling, depending on the season and what kind of experience you want to create for yourself.

We have beach essentials to make your stay more enjoyable, including chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys. The ocean is lively and the bay is quiet.

MISSION BAY for WATERSPORTS & LOUNGING: Walk the bay for a quieter outing or for activities like boats, paddle boards, volleyball and more. Mission Bay sports center is one mile north!

MISSION/PACIFIC BEACH for SURFING, DINING & NIGHTLIFE: Head to the beach boardwalk alongside the Pacific Ocean to enjoy restaurants, bars, infamous nightlife, coffee shops and more stretching from Belmont Park at your doorstep, all the way up to the neighboring lively Pacific Beach.

RUNNING/BIKING: For the active traveler, there is a fantastic loop around the bay which is about 12 miles.

Before booking our Mission Beach home, there are a few important details we'd like you to be aware of to ensure a pleasant and respectful stay:

Parking: Parking at our Mission Beach getaway is provided a 2-car tandem parking. Please note the dimensions: Height (at lowest point): 6 ft 9 inches, Width: 8 ft, Length: 35 feet. While SUVs have fit comfortably in the past, some larger vehicles may have difficulty maneuvering within the space. We encourage guests to plan accordingly and reach out with any questions or concerns regarding parking arrangements.

Shared Walls: Please note that their is another home above this home.

Zero Tolerance for Parties: Our home is not suitable for parties or events. We have a zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a quiet and residential environment.

Respect for Neighbors and Neighborhood: We value our neighbors and the community, and we kindly request that guests respect the tranquility of the neighborhood. Keep noise levels to a minimum, especially during late hours, to ensure a harmonious living environment.

Great house and layout. Great location. Only negatives were the garage is too small for a larger SUV. And the rental property above is not very soundproof so footsteps were tough to sleep through. Overall, great place and would stay again. Patio was nice too.. Positives outweigh the negatives greatly!

Very loud tenants above.

Great location and proximity to beach. However. Despite the noise ordinance the tenants above were a group of young men who blasted house music 2/3 of the nights we were there. They also had two parties where people were in and out of the courtyard all evening and into the morning. The stairs to the tenants place was right next to one of the bedrooms and therefore all you heard was people going up and down all night. It sounded like there were altercations going on as well with angry yelling. At times it sounded like furniture was being moved back and forth because the apartment is again above this rental..also the size of the garage for anything other than a compact car is too small. We were a family of 6 so our suv did not fit.

Perfect for our needs

Loved the amount of space and proximity to the beach & Belmont park. Having a washer dryer, designated parking and spacious kitchen & dining room area helped ensure an enjoyable visit to the area. My kiddo wants to come back for more beach time!

Three generations, grandparents, adult children and their tween sons all stayed comfortably. My grandsons were most enchanted with the flower in the extra roll of toilet paper—so the details were great. Things you should know: close to beach is also noisy after dark. The hot water took a long time to make it to the kitchen, but the showers were all awesome! The manager was responsive via text, but the issues with noise and extra beach chairs were not resolved.

We usually stay right on the boardwalk in Mission Beach 1-2x per year for a long weekend but the whole family agreed we would choose this property over being right on the boardwalk again. We were able to sleep better and there weren’t people right outside your living room or bedroom windows at all hours of the night! The place was so clean! Most of these Mission Beach vacation homes are older but we have stayed in some that just were not cleaned well. This place was exceptionally clean! Beds were comfy, the teenagers loved it. Will be back!

Perfect for Families

First time staying at this beach house, we had 10 people, 4 adults and 6 kids and it fit us great and felt like home. Home was clean and well stocked. We could have used some more bathing towels but we just washed them daily. The location was PERFECT for families with young kids as the beach is so close as well as Belmont and restaurants. We are looking forward to another stay.

Relaxation and Good Times

House was perfect for our family of 5. Lots of room and perfect location. The garage was absolutely perfect for unloading and loading up the car. Great views of Mission Beach area and only steps from the beach made it super easy to enjoy the beach on our schedule. Would absolutly stay here again. House was clean and had everything that we needed to relax and enjoy the vacation.

Perfect Location for a Family Getaway

We needed a home away from home during school winter break. Awe we’re lucky to have found this unit for our extended family of 6 adults and 2 young kids. Location location location!!! Doors away from the beach and boardwalk! Parking lot right outside of the door. With two young kids (2,4) it was perfect to walk the boardwalk, play in the sand, run on the grass, and walk to Belmont Park in the evenings for rides, arcade and carnival games, and even an escape room! Rental The place was very clean, roomy, and well stocked with towels, toiletries, and beach chairs, lots of toys, and towels. We were delighted to see even a crib and high chair! Internet service was great for one of us to work remotely. The kitchen was stocked with ground coffee, filter, sugar and typical spices for cooking. A few challenges/feedback is that it would nice to have cable channels vs just the Samsung TV channels and Netflix or add a TV in the master. We had a few rainy days so repeated shows for kids. The garage is a little tough to park two SUVs, we couldn’t fit a Lexus RX300 and a Mazda CX-5 and only the thinnest one of us can park them bc the doors don’t open all the way. But we managed and made so many memories in this place and WOULD ABSOLUTELY BOOK AGAIN!

We had a few days to say in San Diego and the home was very comforble and had everything needed for a wonderful beach vacation - the beach chairs were amazing, toys, etc. Was within walking distance of stores, restaurants and literally steps from the beach. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Location of property was exceptional to all amenities…the beach is about 50 feet, boardwalk about 1 block, super cute cubby hole coffee shop less than a block, amazing tacos (Mexican) and pizza less than a block, convenience store with most items less than a block. There were ALOT of vendors on the beach, the bacon wrapped hots dogs are to die for! The Condo was well equipped with serving/ eating vessels, cooking utensils- pots/pans, towels both bath & beach, lots of beach toys, great outdoor front patio equipped with BBQ , closets were ginormous in all rooms, very thankful for only 1 TV which was downstairs in living room so we had little screen time but enjoyed a movie together. My negative but still VERY Thankful, they say 2 car garage, it’s VERY narrow, I have a 2012 Toyota 4 runner and after backing into garage I could barely get out and I am small 5’2” 120 pound lady, BUT you will not find parking anywhere near! One more item , I made a mess on the kitchen floor shortly after we got there so went to sweep it up and there was a lot of hair on the broom like a ball, this was in kitchen underneath cabinets etc. wish there was a vacuum. I have a hair fetish! When we were viewing the condo the first 4 times, I believe we had a top balcony within our condo that overlooked the beach, but apparently that is another unit, so make sure you identify what unit your getting. Would I stay there again?…. Absolutely! We had people beside us and on top of us, we were respectful of each other . We would totally rent this property again!

Fantastic stay, beautiful property, ideal location!

Absolutely beautiful home in an ideal location. Perfect for our party of 4 (2 adults, a 17 and a 16 year old), with plenty of room to expand. Originally was going to be 7 of us, 3 adults and 4 kids (16-19 years old). Can't wait to come back.
