  • Find your Groove in Ocean Beach
    Just north of Point Loma, this small beach town is a favorite among locals for its blissful mix of activities and pastimes, including surfing, sunbathing near the pier and strolling among the many surf shops, taco stands and unique local boutiques. Ocean Beach boasts a throwback vibe of vintage SoCal, coupled with friendly locals, great dining and microbrews, and a vibrant nightlife scene.

    WHERE TO GO
    The Pier at the foot of Newport Avenue is one of the longest piers in Southern California, extending a half mile out to sea. The Ocean Beach Pier is one of the few places in San Diego where you can fish without a valid California fishing license. It is now fully reopened after extensive repairs due to storm and wave damage.
    Dog Beach is wedged between the Mission Bay Harbor Channel and the jetty at the north end of Ocean Beach. Here, pets are not only allowed on the beach, but are permitted to play leash-free with other canine beach-lovers.

    This shabby Chic bungalow is walking distance to the beach, boardwalk and downtown shops , eating. Great outdoor space for BBQ and enjoying your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Free on site parking included.

I loved my stay at the beach cottage! It checked all of my boxes; comfortable bed, coffee, clean, quiet, great location (it really is 2 blocks from the beach), restaurants, Old Town, the airport (very little noise in the daytime and none at night), and parking. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the house, it was so easy to book and cozy. We were at San Diego for my son’s military graduation ceremony and family events, we would arrive exhausted and we were so glad that the place clean and cozy for rest and has everything we need. I really recommend this cozy bungalow, it’s small but it was perfect for my family of four.

Perfect place to relax

We were in town for a wedding and this location was perfect. Close to beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing spot.

Excellent location

Location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and also to the main Ocean Beach area - full of bars, restaurants and shops so lots to do in the area.

A picture hides a thousand words!! The door code didn’t work and it took us having to call VRBO to reach out to the host in order to get a different code, after not getting a response through the messages or direct call and texting, took nearly an hour. While we were waiting to get into the unit three men were kind of casing out the e-bikes in the back of our truck because the free parking space is located in a questionable alley way with vagrant individuals were sleeping and picking through trash., they were standing and staring at us for about 10 or 15 minutes before deciding to go away,. We finally got into the place to find that the “air conditioner“ was a free standing cooler, and not an air conditioner, that had mildew in it and the air vent on the back was so covered in dust that it wasn’t functioning well. We cleaned it as best we could just so we could keep the place from being in the 90’s even with the outside temperatures in the 70’s. I couldn’t cook because the pots and pans are not meant for cooking for more than one person. The string of lights on the porch weren’t working so we couldn’t sit outside at night unless we wanted to sit in the dark. The shower drain was partially clogged and we had to stand in water, the drain wasn’t covered and I got hurt stepping into it when washing my hair. There’s more but they are a personal preference/dislikes as to actual issues with the unit.
