« The place is very worn down and not particularly clean. There’s a strong, unpleasant, and stuffy smell throughout the building. The escape routes in case of fire seem questionable and not clearly marked. Overall, it feels poorly maintained and unsafe. Definitely not a place I would recommend for families with children. »

« Beware Foreigners!! The staff here will try to ask you for extra fees and taxes that I had already paid in full with Expedia. I didn’t pay them and once they realized I wasn’t playing their game they left it alone. However I wouldn’t trust them. I showed them that I had paid in full with Expedia and they told me it wasn’t paid and I had to pay in cash. This is a scam. DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. »

« It has been a short stay, but I loved it. You feel well there, and the super friendly staff and vibe account a lot for it. I enjoyed meeting the staff and sharing stories of Borneo. « I just stayed for a week conducting research and had a great stay. The owner, Ben, and staff are wonderful people and I consider them friends now. The room & bed was clean and comfortable and solid WiFI was available at the eating area (helpful for those working). The in-room AC unit helps A LOT in the humid climate. The food, particularly dinner, is tasty and a great deal for the quality you get. Unlike places in more populated areas, if you're lucky, you'll see endangered species here like...
