« I was in search of a place to ease my dog's anxiety of loud fireworks during 4th of July. Running Springs was the perfect location as it was far enough from 4th of July fireworks activities at the lakes. The cabin was the perfect size for me and my 60-pound dog. « The cabin was such a beautiful getaway in Running Springs! The photos do not do it justice this cabin is stunning! There were many cooking and cleaning amenities provided by host which is always a pleasure. This property is a cabin in the woods so insects do make their way inside no matter what, there were a handful of spiderwebs in nooks and crannies of this property and some of the food provided for our stay was expired. « Very small room/studio for cheaper price (vs hotel/cabin). PROs: Price was ~half of Motel 6 (Big Bear Lake) on 4th of July! Three beds. Private toilet, mini fridge. Front door access was easy to use (lock/unlock, open). The neighborhood seemed quite safe. CONs: Very small - a room/studio attached to house. Path to entrance is dirt and somewhat slippery - walk carefully. Appeared to us that room was used for storage: there were at least 6 mattresses in the room for 3 beds. Very little uncovered...

« We've enjoyed this property twice now and we like it, but both times we've had issues. The first time we had lukewarm water, just barely warm enough to shower for a few seconds. The last time there was no hot water at all because the water heater was completely off. The owner was nice enough to come out late to turn on the gas and re-light the pilot, but the water never got warm enough to shower and the water heater let off a bad burning smell. We ended up heating water on the stove to hand wash...

« The Neighborhood is Beautiful! And The Cabin is Wonderful! We were able to enjoy a fire on the back deck, then have some jacuzzi time. The second night we lit a fire in the fireplace, ordered pizza and watched a movie. Loved the feel of the cabin! It was Clean, and felt very homey. And The Hosts are excellent! Super friendly, quick to respond and assist. Would definitely recommend! »
