« We really enjoyed staying at forest lodge. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed in the bar area. Staff were welcoming and kind and friendly. A lady gave us a free bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate our anniversary. Sitting in the bar having a meal and a drink was one of my highlights on our break. Some of the hotels main procedures cause them a bit of difficulty. For instance asking everyone for photo ID at check in- if this needs to be done it could be done at booking. Also...

« It does what it sets out to be very well. Access arrangements were easy and effective, a code. Sent by text for a numbered key safe, and the property spotless. Plenty of good parking. Room large enough for a short stay and with enough shelving for the purpose. Plenty of power points. Bathroom small but very good and an excellent shower with complimentary body wash etc. The only change we would suggest is that for cold nights, a thicker duvet would be good as even with the extra throws...

« We had a really lovely night here. We came up to stay for a sports competition. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made a special effort for us to have an early breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean. The rooms are basic but it's a good price for it. Beds were comfy. We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service was fabulous! Would happily stay again if I was in the area. »

« I always stay at the Lockkeeper when I'm up visiting family. It's clean, comfortable with plenty of parking and excellent wi-fi (I worked from the hotel one day, including video calls). The staff are always welcoming and friendly and I often eat at the pub when I stay. It would be good to have an ashtray by the hotel, the only ashtrays are currently in front of the pub. »
