The staff were all super friendly and efficient, the rooms were spotless and we were on the upper level which felt a bit like you were living in a tree house, which was fab ! « My wife and I stayed for two nights. We had the Africa Suite which was comfortable, well furnished and spacious with a huge naturally-lit bathroom. The property itself is well maintained with lovely semi tropical gardens and a nice pool area. 4 stars would not be enough but I would have given 4 1/2 if I could for a couple of reasons. (1) the hotel is a long way from the centre (30/40 minute walk at least and) where most of the restaurants are and (2) although efficient, the lady on reception...

« Our stay was great. The host was outside and greeted us when we drove up. She directed us to our room (an upgrade) and explained the services, mainly breakfast since it was winter. Speaking of breakfast, the hot plate was delicious, a great start to our morning. Only issue was the cold. It was in the high 30s/low 40s and there was no heat in the room or breakfast area. The extra blanket helped, but there was no where to sit that was a reasonable temperature. The staff we met were all fabulous....

« Great weekend in the old farmhouse (built in 1760). Quiet and relaxing with everything you need - just bring food, the rest is there. House was spotless and stocked with everything you need from crockery and cutlery to pots and pans, firewood, braai grid, fire lighters and even matches. TV with full DSTV channels was a bonus to watch the rugby. It has 2 separate bedrooms each with a bathroom and can sleep 9 people. Highly recommended. »

« We really enjoyed our stay. Especially our Toy Poodle and Yorkie. They could roam around freely, because the premises is safe and dog-proof. We enjoyed the goodies supplied and the owners are very friendly. The cottage is nice and big and we especially enjoyed the Netflix. Only negatives, here and there things that were not completely clean, like drawers and over gloves, etc but nothing that a thorough clean can't fix. Overall the place was clean enough. We will definitely go again. »

« A great place to stay with lots of space and thoughtful touches. A lovely welcome from Joanna when we arrived. There is a very good restaurant that often has musicians playing nearby, the Courtyard. Great to have secure parking. The place does need a little TLC but all very doable. Also the smell of the jasmine in the garden was beautiful »
