The property is huge and gorgeous. We all loved the location, lake access and the pool, which is big. Accessing the thermostats is difficult and the house was a little cool for us. Also, the hot tub needed chemicals. Other than that, the place is a 10 and the host was wonderful. Would definitely revisit again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us.

Fantastic

We had a great time. The house, pool, and lake were great. The house was wonderful, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The kids enjoyed the recreation room. The house was clean. It was easy to get in touch with Sean. If we come back to the area, I would love to stay there again. The place is beautiful.

AMAZING!!

This home had everything we wanted and more! Bedrooms are spacious, plenty of space for everyone. The pool, hot tub, the dock, the game room, just can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it all. The views are absolutely beautiful! The host was great and super attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

Great House!

Our group of 12 adult siblings and spouses was perfectly comfortable. The easy walk to the dock was a big plus, as was the heated saltwater pool. The only suggestion I would make to prospective guests is to bring your own beach towels for the pool and hot tub as none are provided. The bedrooms and baths were private and comfortable, and the whole house was immaculately clean!

Never wanna leave!

"Palatial" is the adjective that comes to mind. The photos on the site don't do justice to this beautiful property. Between the water amenities (lake, pool, hot tub), the grounds, and all the living spaces - both indoors and out - that range between 'almost formal' to 'very casual', our group of former military officers (now in our 60's), who usually enjoy several excursions during our reunions, were just delighted to stay on-site, and enjoy each others' company. We hung out on the dock, visited with each other around the pool, enjoyed college football in the game room, told stories by the fire pit, and just had a blast. The accommodations are luxurious to the point of opulence (in a good way!). And nobody wanted to leave. We'll definitely be back, even if we're just 'Goin' to Sweet Caroline in our Minds'. WWD

Friend Group Loved Sweet Caroline rental!

The property is beautiful, the lake is managed and serene, the inside is cozy while still being roomy. The driveway is huge and two cars can fit in the attached garage. There's plenty of trashcans available. The realtor is super friendly and helpful, even on the weekends! We contacted him a couple of times during our stay for minor questions. If you buy wood for the firepit, the half stack is easily enough wood for 4 nights. Just a friendly warning if you are staying at this property, PLEASE be careful on the deck. The stone outside the backdoor is slick both on the flat surface above the stairs and the stairs themselves. Go slow and don't rush. We had a couple slips especially after they were wet from rain / pool. The pool stairs are plastic and they are extremely slick. Be careful if you use the stairs, you don't want anyone slipping backwards onto the concrete. Overall we loved this property and we would love to rent again next year! You won't want to leave.

Extended Family Vacation

House was beautiful, as were the views. Off the beaten path from the main lake area, but that was perfect for us - quieter, less boat traffic, lots of wildlife. Everything was as described in the ad, all of the games and equipment were in working order. House was huge, we had 8 adults and 7 kids, but felt like we could have squeezed twice that in a pinch. Forgot how awesome Lake Gaston was, and this was a perfect place to enjoy it from.

wonderful lake getaway

The property was extremely clean with very comfortable beds. The ages of our group ranged from 17-78 and there was so much to do for everyone. We enjoyed renting the pontoon boat, made good use of the game room, kayaks, hot tub and fire pit. We especially appreciated the flat lot that made it possible for all members of our group to enjoy all of the outdoor perks without worrying about falling. It is a property that offers something for everyone :) And I must mention how much we appreciation the good communication from the host as well.

LOVE this property

This property was perfect for our New Year’s celebration. The house was beautiful. They had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, and everything was labeled so you knew where everything went. The beds were comfortable. The management company was very friendly and responsive for any issues we had. They even mailed back some items I forgot in the house. I would absolutely stay here again and 100% recommend this property and management company.

Definitely a Winner

Our stay was absolutely delightful. The owner was very tentative and had everything ready to go. Met all expectations and then some with the excellent host. Very spacious. Perfect for Holidays and family events. Pictures don’t do it justice. Highly recommend! Note: upstairs master and double queen are connected, as the map shows, however they Do both have separate room entrances as well.

Fabulous retreat!

We rented here for the first time with our annual Ladies Weekend Retreat. It is a wonderful house that is well maintained, clean, organized, and thoughtfully appointed. The views are fantastic, there is plenty of space for activities, and the grand kitchen makes meal prep easy & fun. We enjoyed our daily walk to the recreation/dam area and relaxing in the hot tub and around the firepit while taking in the views. Highly recommend!

WOW! Sweet Caroline is magnificent, and there's so many fun ways to enjoy Lake Gaston. Couldn't ask for a better house for our family. Boat house with plenty of water toys, hot tub, extensive game room, massive kitchen, and large master suites and bedrooms. They've thought of everything. Can't wait to come back.
