A 25 minute drive will take you to Strandhill beach, ideal for surfing, or Lough Key Forest Park and its wildlife, historic buildings and evocative islands; discover the Tree Canopy Walk and get a bird's eye view of the park, spot wildlife including fallow deer, foxes, hares and red squirrels, or explore the Boda Borg, an intriguing game with 47 rooms of fun-filled activities, imaginative puzzles and enjoyable tasks, ideal for all ages. A little further afield lies Ballymote with course fishing and its historic castle, and within touring distance is Dublin.
