Experiencing staying on a winery estate:

About this space

Escape to this newly renovated retreat on the estate of Sparkling Ponds Winery. This 3 bedroom / 2 full baths Cape Cod is a short walk from the winery’s tasting room.
Renovations completed in October 2018, with quartz counter tops, maple cabinets, bathrooms and queen beds in each bedroom (+ sofa bed). Washer/Dryer and wifi convenient for longer stays. We also upgraded our bathroom this winter in 2025 :) !

Guests can explore the 20+ acres of vines or hike through the 30 acres of forests and ponds, patio furniture and grill.

The space

Conveniently located in the middle of the NY/PA wine trail, you can bike or ride to additional wineries or experience your own private tasting at Sparkling Ponds. Beach access available nearby.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the first and second floor of the home.

Other things to note

Please no glitter, confetti, or hanging of decorations for parties in our home. Additional cleaning fees will be charged for violation of this request plus any repairs needed to be made for damage.

The host was very good at responding to all messages. From the outside it's not very inviting, but the inside is nice. The living room furniture is a bit uncomfortable, but we weren't there much so it wasn't a problem. Would stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage on the Sparkling Ponds winery grounds. We were right across the street from Lake Erie and only 5 minutes from a public beach. The cottage was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, the water pressure was good, and the kitchen was well stocked. Our dog loved walking the grounds back to a pond on the property, and the winery staff were all friendly and helpful. We’d definitely stay here again if we come back to the area!

Great Getaway!

We stayed here for a girls weekend during our journey on the Lake Erie Wine Trail. The house is very cute and exceptionally clean. It's not quite as big as the pictures depict but was perfect for our needs. It was well-equipped and in a perfect location if you plan on visiting the wineries. Xinni was very attentative and responded to all communications promptly. Thank you for a lovely stay!

April Wine Tour

What an amazing weekend with Friends. The VRBO is located at one of the wineries. Very convenient for traveling to other wineries. Excellent access. The home was clean and stocked with necessary items and coffee to start our day! We would recommend this home with a perfect star rating!!! As we often attend the weekend wine tours, we just wish the wineries would extend their hours on these events. It is hard to travel and reach all the wineries in 2 days.

Winter Ski Trip

We had a wonderful time in Ripley. We skied at Peak and Peek and the drive was about 25 minutes. The house was so neat and has everything you could need! The wine was very good and the staff was great. Highly recommend

Property was nice, but we only got to stay 1 of the 2 nights due to extreme snow. We were stuck elsewhere while our belongings were at the rental. Owner was understanding and helpful in getting them back once the road was cleared.. Overall rating would have been 4.5 if that were an option

Anniversary Weekend

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend celebrating our 33rd anniversary. The cottage was wonderful. The little touches mean so much. From the coffee and flavored creamer to the fall decorations, everything was perfect. The staff at the winery was delightful, not to mention the free bottle of wine! Hopefully we will be back next year! Thank you!

Disappointing

First, my sister is 80 and I am 74. We arrived at property and had no way to get in... had not received any notification of code to get in. Messaged the host twice and heard nothing. I called Vrbo for help. Two hours later, received the code. By then it was pitch dark and there is very little outdoor lighting and we had to use a flashlight. The path to the steps to the door was uneven and difficult to walk on. Our last night, the door would not lock from the inside. I messaged the host and she thanked me and said she would check it out the next day. In the meantime, we slept with an unlocked door and we were not comfortable with that. I put a chair under the door handle. Other than those issues, the house is cute and well kept for the most part (we noted a bit dusty). All in all, we would not stay again.
