« We’ve stayed in many holiday homes during the past twenty years or so, and this one is a standout!Warm when we arrived on a really cold day, beautifully renovated and stunning central location (yet very quiet).The house retains its beautiful heritage features but provides all the modern luxuries. « The house was lovely and cosy and really well maintained. There was wood for a lovely warm fire and great kitchen facilities. There were 3 couples staying and it was a perfect house for us and close to our friends great restaurant The Good Food Providers and the rest of the cute shops. »

« We had such a lovely stay. The cottage is lovely, the bushlands surrounds are beautiful and the hosts made such an effort to make sure we had all we needed. Our dog also loved it - I think it was his best weekend holiday away ever! »

« We had two nights at the house. Such a great location, we walked most places, lovely and warm on chilly winter nights, very clean and had all the things we needed. »

« Julie and Gary were always very responsive, nothing was a problem, the cottage had central heating and cooling, 2 bathrooms and lovely cosy bedrooms and sitting areas, both inside and outside. The thoughtful touches were an extra special bonus, light breakfast supplied and some cakes upon our arrival We felt so at home here.Easy walk to town centre, Gallery, places of interest, cafes and restaurants. « Had a lovely 2 night stay over Easter with a friend. Cottage is clean, well utilized space inside, has everything you need, quite, private and friendly communication. Would love to stay again. »

« Hawthorne Cottage is a lovely house with every facility. It is very comfortable, with a good kitchen and facilities. Set high up on the hill overlooking Guildford, it has beautiful views, and is so peaceful. The weather was not cold enough to light the fire, but would be very cosy during winter.We plan to book there again as soon as we can plan another visit.It is so close to Castelmaine and Daylesford - our favourite parts of central western Victoria.Janine is a most attentive and responsive...
