Welcome to Big Mountain Cabin #2! Enjoy a new custom built experience. This cabin offers an open floor plan with high vaulted ceiling and a custom beam design. Cabin #2 is centrally located in the Black Hills just a few miles south of Rockerville. Many attractions are just a short drive away.
Mount Rushmore - 8 miles
Custer State Park - 12 miles
Michelson Trail - 12 miles
Reptile Gardens - 7 miles
Bear Country USA - 5 miles

Cabin #2 offers a kitchen stocked with dinner ware, pot and pan, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, and outdoor grill. Relax in a bed room that has a custom built queen log bed with a memory foam mattress. It has a fully furnished bathroom that provides a full tub and shower. All linens and towels are provided.

For all you hiking enthusiasts, this cabin is close to many national forest trails including Boulder Hill Mountain Trail. This trail head is 2.2 miles from Cabin #1. And for all you mountain bike enthusiasts, this cabin is 2 miles from Storm Mountain Trail. Storm Mountain trail offers 11.61 miles of pure fun!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Our cabins are on a hillside and there is only enough parking for one vehicle. If you have a extra vehicle, trailer, or motorcycle please message us before you make your reservation.
- If you are riding on a motorcycle, we ask that you be an experienced rider. The road to this cabin has loose gravel. If you have any questions please message us.

A great cabin to stay in Rapid City South Dakota

What a beautiful cabin and perfect location. So close from Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. Such an ease of transaction from the owner and it was perfect. Later found out they built it so makes it even more special and it has everything you’ll need. If we come back to the area we will be staying here again. Thank you.

Our stay was amazing! We had everything we needed and the owners were fantastic. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. We stayed for a week on our anniversary. The cabins are located in a perfect area for exploring the black hills. If you are considering, do not hesitate.

Very enjoyable, the cabin was cute and easily accessible from everything we wanted to see. The only negative was I had to keep asking for towels. There were 2 of us staying for 5 nites and there were only 3 towels provided. So I had to keep asking for towels.

The cabin was clean, beautiful and in the perfect location. I don’t have anything negative to say. Our hosts were very nice when I mistakenly had the wrong checkout date. They allowed me to stay long enough to get everything packed up and moved out and didn’t charge me any extra.

Relaxing get away

This was our 2nd stay in this cabin. It was clean, well stocked and quiet. We did some hiking in the area, lots of sight seeing, we went to the local winery and most importantly we relaxed! This cabin will always be our choice when heading to the Black hills area.

Completely loved this cabin and the area. Stayed for five days and were able to visit all the sites we planned with ease. (Our host recommended Sylvan Lake for a hike - so awesome!) This cozy cabin was the perfect place to return to in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed, the shower was great and the mattress and pillows were the best - we slept so well! Loved the minimalist decor - tasteful, comfortable and exquisitely clean. Highly recommend Big Mountain Cabins♄

Quiet location

Clean cabin and quiet location. The biggest negative was that the lights inside the cabin were all connected and very bright. It made for difficulty while sitting on the couch and the other person was in bed.

From checking in (zero hassles) to cleanliness, amenities, location and communication, this was a phenomenal place to stay! My wife and I met owner on a walk, so so much fun to chat with. We absolutely loved our stay at the cute little cabin. Very clean, well equipped with everything we needed and more. Centrally located between all the sites we planned on visiting while in the area.
