« Our stay was incredible! When we arrived, there was a bit of a snafu and no one was there. I called the number on the booking and the owner (I am assuming) apologized and said she had sent an email asking when we would be arriving (I had missed the email). She said they had actually closed the lodge for the season a few days prior, but because of a mix up with Expedia, our reservation snuck through. She sent someone to unlock the lodge for us within minutes, and then Lillia showed up shortly...

« A really great house in a beautiful spot at the heart of the Golden Circle. We were four adults and four teens and it fitted us well. One bedroom is in an annexe right next to the main house, which is nice for some extra privacy. »

« This was one of my highlights of Iceland! Hakon was an excellent host and provided us a unique Icelandic experience and really interesting tour of the island. The yurts were beautifully decorated, super clean and warm and dinner was amazing! Would highly recommend! 😊 »

« Outstanding experience! Everything was just perfect! Staff was super helpful and friendly too. Wish there was some sort of blind to cover the top but I guess this wouldn’t make the experience the same. Never mind, it was brilliant! »

« We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages. »
