Bluebird Hideaway

This home is perfect for your next family getaway, with beautiful views of Glen Lake and lake access!

The main floor of the home features an open-concept kitchen, living room, and dining area. All with large windows so you can take in the view! Also on the main floor are two bedrooms and one full bath. The first bedroom features a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed. The full bath has an oversized stand-up shower. Just off the main living space is two sets of double doors, giving you access to the large deck with outdoor furniture.

The lake level has another living space, bar area, and the third bedroom which features two queen beds. Spend time with family and friends cozied up around the fireplace! Also on the lake level is another full bath and washer/dryer set up. Take a step outside to enjoy all there is to offer to be lakefront!

This home offers direct lake access with a sandy bottom, 3 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and dock space for two boats (up to 27’ long). Sit back and relax in the hot tub or around the campfire making s'mores. Bring your pets along for the family fun for a small fee, dogs only.

***This home is pet-friendly. Bring along your four-legged friend. An additional pet fee per dog will apply. You must submit an up-to-date rabies vaccination card, dogs only.

Once your booking is confirmed, you will be required to sign a rental agreement. This will need to be completed to get your check-in instructions. On the day of arrival, the check-in instructions will be sent via email at check-in which is 4 pm. ***

  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

We had a wonderful time at Bluebird Hideaway. The location was perfect, close to Lake George, the outlets, and other activities. Loved having direct access to Glen Lake and enjoyed paddling out on the water. My girls had lots of fun on the Lilly pad and in the hot tub. Well equipped kitchen and having linens and towels was a bonus. Our dog Abbey loved relaxing on the deck and taking walks in the neighborhood. My husband and I enjoyed dinner at the Docksider. Overall a 10/10.

Beautiful location to visit in Fall - colors and lake. Awesome fireplace and sound system. The house is a bit older and needs new mattresses in the upstairs room. The refrigerator was dirty upon arrival. The process was very easy and owners very accommodating.

We had a fantastic stay at Bluebird Hideaway. The property was exactly how it's listed. Fantastic views of the lake. Clean and well equipped. Really appreciated the property allows dogs.....my pup had a great time at the lake!

Family Trip

Bluebird Hideaway was perfect for our family vacation to include our adult daughters and mini dachshund Blueberry. We were looking for a place we could relax and explore since this was our first trip to the Lake George area. The house had everything we needed to cook in when we wanted and simply enjoy being together. It was close to everything we wanted to do while there. We truly enjoyed our time in this lovely hideaway.

Perfect Mother’s Day weekend getaway

We had an amazing time. The house is great, clean, well maintained. They even had a crib and a high chair for our 6month old. Great Lake access, even did some fishing off the doc. Very quite area, but at the same time close to everything. 10mins drive to lake george, great hiking, and grocery stores. The only negative was the heating system for the house, the baby room and downstairs room and bar area are way too cold and do not heat up when heat is turned on. But that’s a minor issue compared to the amazing time we had.

Lovely place for a weekend

We had a lovely stay at this property, just wish we could have stayed a bit longer. The kitchen is beautiful and had everything we needed to make breakfast and a simple dinner. The main living room was bright and warm. The downstairs bathroom isn't quite finished, but it was fine. And the bedroom downstairs stayed cozy with the space heater on.

We are originally from the area and with a family we always struggle with where to stay as we need two hotel rooms. This place was the perfect solution. Great long weekend away!

Where to begin…having visited and stayed in upstate New York several times, we were expecting a tranquil lake home. What we got was even more. The Ryan family put so much care into making this lake house a home away from home for everyone who visits. The location is ideal for breaking away from the everyday grind for a weekend of rest and relaxation, while remaining close enough to everything we needed in town. The neighboring towns are full of activities, whether you’re interested in active winter fun, or viewing the fine art at the Hyde Collection. To be inches away from masterpieces by Picasso and Rembrandt was a dream come true! The frozen lake was a picturesque backdrop as we lounged in the living room from our morning coffee to our late night board gaming. The television and sound system were top notch, offering dynamic surround sound as we watched Sunday football inside and listened to music in the hot tub. We could not have asked for a better home to stay at. The open layout is perfect for quality time together, and yet everyone still had their privacy in the ideally located bedrooms. We’re already looking forward to visiting again when we can enjoy the lake in the summer!

Great girls getaway!

My friends and I were looking to have a nice quiet girls weekend and this home was perfect! Bluebird is beautiful with an amazing view of the lake. We happened to be there on one of the coldest and snowiest weekends but the home's contact was on top of everything! It was the perfect location to go to Lake George down the road or Saratoga. We felt comfortable and had plenty of room for the four of us. We all agreed that coming back in warmer weather would be wonderful!
