The New Croton Dam, in Westchester County, has an unusual spillway, part artificial and part natural, which forms a waterfall on the north side of the structure. New Croton Dam has a public park and trail head at its base and a road along its crest. After the events of 9/11, road use was limited to pedestrians and emergency vehicles.
This is a perfect location for sunrise and fall shots . This was taken just before peak fall color as the moon was out just before sunrise as it lit the scene. If you hike the trail up to the bridge u see you can catch sunrise and cascading water and if conditions right fog . #bvsblue
