The ancient town of Clovelly is now a major tourist attraction in Devon, England. It was traditionally a fishing village, and has been associated with just three families since the middle of the 13th century. No vehicles can access its steep, cobblestone streets, and goods must largely be delivered by sledge. We visited in winter, and there were very few tourists around, a good time to be there. While touristy, Clovelly is very picturesque and unique. The history is interesting too.
