While visiting Poland, we stopped for a day of discovery at the Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork, built in the 13th-century ! Talk about #history! It is the largest castle in the world measured by land area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The biggest bricks built castle on the world
The Marienburg, headquarter of the Teutonic Order between 1270 and 1410. This picture-book medieval castle is the largest brickstone building in Europe. It is excellently preserved in the original style with great wall painting of saints and various knights of the order and their so-called Grandmasters.
