An amazing drive from El Questro Station along the Gibb River Road to Home Valley Station.
The Pentecost River Crossing. AMAZING!!!!
This is purportedly the most popular park in the Kimberley region, arguably one of Australia's most iconic outback locations.
Along the Gibb River Road, make sure to stop and at least spend one evening at Windjana Gorge. At dusk, tens of thousands of bats fly out of the gorge and you can occasionally hear small freshwater crocodiles jumping out of the water trying to catch one for dinner. It's a surreal experience in The Australian Outback! #SMDdoesOZ #TheOutback #Australia
You can find Bell Gorge off of the Gibb River Road, which is an amazing road trip through the northern park of The Outback. The hike from the car park to the gorge takes about half an hour and you can swim in the pool below. The Gibb River Road is an absolutely amazing experience. Its in my Top 5 List of Places to Visit in Australia and it is truly a special destination with postcard perfect waterholes, pounding waterfalls and spectacular sunsets over one of Australia's most picturesque ranges, the Cockburns! (not pronounced as dirty as its spelt, but rather as 'coburn'.) You can hire a 4WD from Broome or Kununurra or jump on a tour with one of the off-road tour buses.
