Beachfront 2 bedroom apartment with private pool -NEW LISTING

EDGEWATER is a beautiful beachfront apartment situated in Fitts Village, along Barbados’ platinum West coast. The property is divided into two apartments. The ground floor apartment is available for rent and has its own dedicated entrance, which enters through a large arched doorway into a private, partially covered courtyard. A refreshing pool for your exclusive use, with built in seating gleams amongst the lush cascade of Bougainvillea and foliage. A perfect place to sunbath on the loungers, whilst sipping our local homemade rum punch.

From there you enter through an airy atrium with an abundance of natural light into the indoor sitting area with a comfortable sectional couch and TV. Louvered bifold doors open from the sitting to a spacious, covered, ocean front patio with dining for 6, lounging and bar area with seating. This area also has mature trees and a small tropical garden with water feature. From here spectacular views of the ocean can be enjoyed, whilst watching catamarans sail by, or just simply enjoy the sun set. There is great snorkeling on an exquisite reef just in front of the house where turtles can be spotted daily.
This open planned apartment features 2 AC bedrooms, a large full bathroom, a half bathroom, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable indoor sitting and a laundry room.
LOCATION: The property is a 5 minute walk to Fitts Village, a lovely fishing village where you will find a supermarket and local shops. For those of you who won’t have your own transport we are located on the main bus route to both Bridgetown, Speightstown and Holetown . For the golf enthusiasts golf is available at The Sandy Lane and Westmoreland clubs which is within a 10 minute drive. Nearby Holetown, offers a lovely selection of ocean front restaurants and both high end and local shops. The famous Cliff, QP Bistro, Il Tiempo, Wendys sports bar, Cariba restaurants are less than half mile away.

The property is even better than the pictures show. I loved the views and being steps from the beach. Our teenage son loved the pool and the inflatables just down the beach. Husband enjoyed the grill and air conditioned bedrooms. The hosts were informative, responsive and kind. They even stocked the fridge with a few supplies. I would love to return again in the future but am afraid once word gets out there will be no availability.

Fantastic stay. Located 2 mins walk from the Bikini Beach bar and a few mins walk from Jordan's supermarket.The hosts could not have been more accommodating.The view out the back of the property could not be better with the sea right there. Sun loungers are on a platform with the sea quite literally lapping below. An absolutely amazing view but slightly too rocky to get into the sea directly outside. I recommend a one minute walk down the sand for an easy entry to the sea.The air con in the bedrooms is a lifesaver and the only improvement I would suggest (keeping in mind an already 5-STAR experience) would be to add air con in the bathrooms so reduce the number of mosquitos that might be inclined to fly in.

Our host Debbie was so essy to communicate with. We travelled and stayed at her apartment with our 3 month old baby. She made sure everything was in place and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. The locations is amazing, literally on the beach. Lovely opportunity for walks at low tide. Theres a grocery store 5 minute walk from the apartment that has almost everything. We hop we can get back to stay here some day!

Perfect family holiday

The property is stunning and as the photos show right on the beach. The hosts are exceptional, they left us a nice starter pack and helped us at every turn. The kitchen is very well stocked with every gadget you might need. Knives are sharp, herbs & spices provided. If the property is free, make sure you book it!

Stunning Beach Front Apartment

Had an amazing time at this well located, well appointed property. Fab location near to a couple of places to eat. Easy to access the rest of the island...would recommend a car to see the what the rest of the island has to offer. Great communication with Debbie the host, who has literally thought of everything you would need...this is a first for us! Waking up every morning to the view of the ocean will be missed.

Lovely apartment on the ground floor of a house (owners live upstairs). Incredible seafront aspect, perfect for enjoying the sunset over the sea. We had a car for about half the time we were there but you could live without one as it is easy to catch a bus up to the big Massy supermarket or into Bridgetown. Jordans supermarket is walking distance and is okay for most things. Snorkeling is excellent right from the beach, we did this every day and saw an incredible array of creatures: moray eel, squid, turtle even a stingray swam past one evening as we sipped a rum punch on the deck... Debbie is an excellent host, very quick to respond and action any issues or queries you might have. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beyond our expectations

The property is much larger than it seems in the photos, with more than enough space for a family of 4. The furniture is modern and very comfortable with various different seating areas inside and out. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering with a gas BBQ outside also - thanks to the hosts for a lovely welcome pack with homemade rum punch. The plunge pool was perfect for keeping cool and larger than expected as it can accommodate two floating loungers provided with the property. There is an excellent reef just beyond the wall, with shoals of blue tang, puffer fish, rays and the occasional turtle. There was a selection of inflatables, masks and snorkels at the property also which was helpful. There is also a beautiful snorkelling area further up the coast past Holetown - well worth a trip. Basic food is available from the local Jordans supermarket, with Banks beer at $15 for 6 - about ÂŁ1 each. A Waitrose-esk supermarket is a 10 minute bus-ride away in Holetown. Buses stop outside the property and are very regular - currently $3.5 a ride (anywhere). Quality burgers are available from The Bikini Beach bar 2 mins from the property - a great place to watch the sunset. Wendy's local sports bar provides quality local food. The hosts, Debbie and Brian are very helpful, quick to respond to any query and as locals are a great resource when planning any exploration of the island. We would fully recommend the property and love to visit again.

Above and beyond - our perfect stay!

A true home from home with so much more than expected - from a fully equipped kitchen, welcome pack (and delicious home made rum punch) to snorkels, sea shoes, bbq and superb outside dining and plunge pool in additions to the spectacular positioning right onto the Caribbean Sea. Super comfy beds and great bedroom AC too. Debbie and Brian lived up to all reviews and are fantastic hosts.

Exceptional

This place is such an amazing find that I almost don’t want to tell anyone about it! But that would not be fair to the lovely hosts. A wonderful place to spend a very relaxing holiday, there is nothing not to like about Edgewater - essentially, a lovely traditional island home with the benefit of air conditioned bedrooms. Very well equipped should you wish to stay in and soak up the view and, equally, a great base for exploring the island. Location is stunning and being just off Highway 1 means easy access to the buses - we take any but the timetable of the “official” buses is readily available online if you want to look in advance. Supermarket within walking distance and a short bus ride up to Massey’s for wider choice. This home from home is very good value for money and is kept that way by being maintained as a traditional island home. If you want all enclosed, all areas air con then this is not for you. But embrace traditional styles and you will not be disappointed. We have already booked to return and look forward to doing so for many years to come.

Absolutely perfect. Wonderful location right by the sea. Two different outdoor areas to relax, large covered seating/dining area perfect for watching the sunsets and a private court yard with seating and a lovely plunge pool. Spacious and very comfortable inside. Great that the bedrooms had air conditioning. The hosts Debbie and Brian were so helpful.

Wow.....

Location Location Location.... Not only right on the beach but also plenty of amenities locally. A supermarket is 5 mins away and there are a few restaurants locally within walking distance plus a local bar where you are received with open arms from the locals. Holetown is only 10 min bus ride away (You must use the buses as it is a great experience) to more facilities. We don't think the photos do the property justice which was very clean and with more than ample space for the maximum of 4 guests. The kitchen has everything you would need and the welcome pack of basic groceries was a nice surprise including some Rum Punch. The beds were comfortable and there is plenty of room to hang cloths including plenty of coat hangers !!! The swimming pool is cleaned weekly and was a bonus as you can just pop out of your bedroom for an early or late dip. The owners were always on hand to answer any questions or provide advice on Barbados. They even took as to the supermarket to get our groceries (and waited as it was packed) when we arrived. You will not be disappointed with your stay as this lovely home 5* Plus.
