« Quick trip to Des Moines for a fancy dinner and a trip to the zoo. Clean, modern room and a very helpful front desk. Spent more on dinner than the room. 14th Street is busy, and you may need to do turnaround off a side street, but you can get to just about anything you need from there without much travel. »

« Great location in the Capital district. We had a wonderful view of the Des Moines river and bridge. The hotel could use some updating and maintenance. Our window leaked when it rained and the doorknob to the bathroom came off when pulled. Breakfast was decent, but food service for dinner was limited and not as good. Very friendly staff. »

« Lovely hotel in downtown Des Moines. I stayed for the Des Moines half marathon, and the hotel was a block from the finish line. An added benefit was the Saturday farmer's market a block from the hotel! »
