Année maison de vacances charmante ronde sur la baie de Narragansett, situé dans le pittoresque village de Portsmouth sur l'île Aquidneck. Cette maison offre merveilleux, en constante évolution, vue sur la baie; Mt. Espoir Bridge, Bristol Harbor, Hog Island Lighthouse et panoramique couchers de soleil. Avec cette maison de style nautique, avoir le sentiment d'être déposée dans les quartiers du capitaine sans avoir à quitter le rivage. Cette maison offre le luxe de la cuisine d'un chef; 36 "Loup Range, entièrement équipée avec de grands pots de faire bouillir votre homard ou une palourde ébullition Nouvelle-Angleterre. La maison comprend une douche à vapeur et un lit king - Nombre veille dans le Master Loft. Perfect Every Year

We return to the Shore House year after year, because it’s a rare find that does not compare to any others we’ve visited. There are no negatives whatsoever. The property is well-maintained and the view is spectacular. The upscale house is solid, stylish, and comfortable, with modern kitchen and baths, as well as many amenities not found elsewhere. The hosts are accommodating and just wonderful. We cant imagine a RI visit without staying at the Shore House!

Paradise

We love it so much here. The hosts are wonderful and always helpful. If peace, quiet, and beauty are what you're looking for in a vacation home, this is it. It's also strategically located within easy driving distance of Newport, Bristol, Warren and many other fun places, as well as nature reserves, beaches, etc. There are a couple of great grocery stores nearby as well. We are already planning our next stay.

Perfect Hosts & Home!

We cannot say enough about our stay in Portsmouth. The house had everything we needed and more— it was so clean and spotless with the best views imaginable. It was in a great central location close to Newport and Bristol. This is a very special home and we made some great memories here. Thank you to our wonderful hosts, Jan and John!

Couldn't ask for more

My husband and I stayed four nights for a much needed break and to catch some of the fall foliage. Jan & John's house was just amazing! Everything we could want for a vacation home. To sit and watch the bay and take in the tranquility of the sights and sounds is amazing. The house itself is so thoughtful in design. Heated floors, steam shower, high quality appliances. To top it off, Jan & Jean are incredible hosts. We arrived after a long day of flying and driving, to have Jan meet us and walk us through the nuances of the house. They had wonderful treats waiting for us as well. The location is close to Newport as well as the charming town of Bristol. The only challenge we had was deciding whether to go out and explore or stay in and enjoy this incredible home. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Sister’s Trip Paradise

My sister, and I have a trip every October. I think this may have been our best trip yet! Jan and John were such wonderful hosts. They went to so much trouble to have the beautiful house stocked with special treats, and just everything you could want or need. On our arrival Jan welcomed us and took us on a tour of the amazing house! She had bought us each a delicious piece of carrot cake, special cheeses and wine. It was just the extra special niceties that mean so much. We couldn’t decide which room to sit in because the scenery is so beautiful. You can see the water, boats, and lovely bridge from every room. Because it was October, the leaves were beautiful for sight seeing! It was hard to get out to do a lot because the house was so perfect. There’s plenty to do, and places to go, but it’s also nice just staying inside! I really could go on and on, but just believe all the great reviews on here! Our plan is to return next year! We can’t wait! Thank you Jan and John!

We had another fantastic stay at the Shore House! Jan is incredibly welcoming and always leaves the most delightful treats. The house is fully equipped and exceptionally comfortable. The pictures don’t do this properly justice! The views are stunning from every room, and the architecture and design of this home is superb. Jan has thought of everything and the attention to details was appreciated. We had the good fortune to see fireworks and many beautiful sunsets. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return some day.

Another wonderful stay at the Shore House

This is a beautiful home directly on Narragansett Bay. You feel like you are on a ship. Fabulous sunsets, clamming and swimming. This was our eighth straight summer visit. God willing we will be back next year for season nine. Jan Hanks is a caring hostess and can’t do enough for you.

Waterfront Home Away From Home

The property was stunning as it is every year. My wife and I have made this a yearly tradition as we fell in love with the house on our first visit. Check in and out is easy and makes you feel like you’re visiting family, as the hosts have made us feel like we are an extension to their family. We spend time during low tide to search for sea glass, shells, and rocks. We were blessed this year to have friends join us for a few days of our vacation. They were so excited with the luxurious look and feel of the property and the spacious guest bedroom. Even on rainy days you feel as though the sun shines upon you as you take in the views of the ocean waves through the expansive windows facing the water. The host has gathered a binder with lots of things that you can do/visit nearby on your stay but with how relaxing our stay was, most days we just wanted to stay home and enjoy the view and swim in the water just outside the back door. If you have an opportunity to stay here I would take it, You will not be disappointed!!!

The Shore House-Stunning!

Year after year we return to this property. It is on a prime piece of real estate, with quiet views of the bay, lighthouse, fishing boats, birds, wildlife, the Mount Hope Bridge, and Hog Island in the distance! The house has absolutely anything you would need. The location is a short driving distance to many attractions, perfect for day trips! We are always sorry to leave! Jan does a phenomenal job maintaining the best accommodations in the area! LOVE THIS HOUSE!

Absolutely fantastic place!

My husband and I stayed for six nights and another couple joined us for the second half of our stay. This place is even better than it looks in the pics online! Everything is so comfortable and there are so many thoughtful touches throughout the home, such as really nice toiletries, yummy snacks, current issues of Rhode Island magazine, and a great set of binoculars, just to name a few. The hosts not only designed the home well, with a great kitchen and bathrooms, they have furnished it well with really comfy beds and seating areas. I loved waking up with the natural light pouring in in the mornings from all four directions through the big, beautiful windows upstairs and I loved going to sleep at night seeing the Mt. Hope bridge lit up at night! The location is wonderful because the house itself is on this lovely, quiet spot right on Naragansett Bay, so if you just want peace and quiet and to sit and watch the birds on the water, you can do that. It's also a great location because you're so close to so many interesting places. Newport is about 25 minutes away with all of its historic mansions from the Gilded Age, Bristol and Warren are even closer with their cute shops and great restaurants, and Fall River, MA, is about 15 minutes away for those who want to tour Battleship Cove. The hosts are a true pleasure to work with and just so kind! I felt like I had spent time at a wonderful five-star hotel, I was so relaxed! We were sorry to leave and can't wait to go back!

This place is perfect for a couple. The views of the bay are amazing, and worth it. The master bed room is open upstairs, so a big family would be tough. The master bath has a steam shower that was awesome. Would definitely recommend this place!

Exactly what we needed! Beautiful home with a breathtaking view at all times. Gracious host! Close to everything, able to enjoy Portsmouth and thier warm community, Newport and the cliff walk, Providence for a nice city vibe, and New Hampshire to hike the moutain. Each day returning to this wonderful shore house. When we come back to R.I., we know where we will be staying!

The Shorehouse - Year 7

We love the Shorehouse. This was our seventh straight year there. It is peaceful, with Narragansett Bay just yards away, the Mount Hope Bridge and Hog Shoal light provide a wonderful scenic view. Swimming at high tide and clamming at low tide are regular activities. Location is terrific. All necessary services within 10 minutes. We are coming back next summer.

A gorgeous week waterside!

As always this home was absolutely perfect inside and out. The gorgeous water view can be seen from almost every room and the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks was so relaxing. There is so much to do close by. We spent a day visiting Newport, a day visiting Breweries in Bristol, and we visited the Green Animal Topiary that had special Lego works on display. The best part of every day was making and having dinner back at the house. The kitchen has an incredible professional stove and the view and sounds of the water made dinner’s even better. I can’t wait to return next year.
