Charming 3 Bedroom Beach Cottage near Newport RI!

The perfect location for a quaint Rhode Island coastal getaway! Just a 60 second walk to Island park beach. During the warmer months be sure to stop in at Flo's for a RI Staple... award winning Clamcakes & Chowdah or a famed Lobstah Roll! (Literally a stones throw from the cottage) Take your food across the street, lay out a blanket or chairs and enjoy dinner right on the beach as the sun sets. Walk along the oceanfront with fantastic views, restaurants, and stop at Schultzy's for delicious ice-cream to cap off your night!! We enjoy taking our morning coffee from the house and walking 4 minutes to the beach and walking along the water line as the sun rises in the morning. Very peaceful and a great way to start any day!

Settled in 1638 and one of the 3 towns on Aquidneck Island, Portsmouth RI is rich in history and full of charm . The cottage is located in Island Park which is a quaint coastal neighborhood with a lot of personality and character located right near the heart of it all! The cottage is a true 60 second walk from the beach. Perfect for lazy summer beach days under the Rhode Island sun! In addition to the oceanfront, there is a quiet cove on the backside of the neighborhood called Bluebill Cove that is perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking. If you have children there is a great little playground and park just around the corner a 2 or 3 minute walk from the cottage. We also allow up to 2 pets at no additional charge. Perfect little private fenced in backyard so kids or pets can let some energy out during your stay or go for a walk steps from the cottage down the coastline of the oceanfront! We are a 10 minute drive to historic downtown Bristol. Spend a day freely roaming the charming streets of Bristol which has been kept in its original historic form and is host to the oldest and most famed 4th of July parade in the country. We are 15 minutes from downtown Newport RI and it's cobblestone Thames Street with quaint shops and restaurants along the harbor. 30 minutes from downtown Providence and 45 minutes from Boston (via highway).

The cottage has 3 designated parking spots. We have a Blink security camera on the exterior of the house pointing towards the driveway and entry is contactless through a lock box code.

Excellent communication with the host. The house is nicely set up for a vrbo, clean, thoughtful, decluttered set up. We appreciated bedding and towels being provided. Safe area. There was space for four adults and two dogs. Friendly service in local establishments.We enjoyed easy drive to Newport and easy 35-40 minutes to Providence

Nearby Family Reunion

We picked this property for sleeping 6 adults near by to location of a family reunion. Also walking distance of seafood, Beaches and homemade Ice Cream, House was spotless and well appointed but with a relaxed feet up seaside vibe. Too busy enjoying family and relaxing to take any photos that aren't of us eating ice cream, so I'll just keep those in my own great getaway memories,

I will have to say the host was amazing. There was a little hiccup with an appliance and not worth noting, as it could have happened anywhere. The host was diligent about rectifying the situation. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked (was impressed) Beds and pillows all extremely comfortable. I would definitely rent again.

Great location for a Girls Getaway

What a wonderful cottage to stay and relax in! We did a Girls Getaway to pamper ourselves after the hectic holiday season. The cottage is beyond cute with plenty of amenities, comfortable beds and a host that provides fun ideas and frequent checkins to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend

Quaint cottage for family stay

Communication with the property manager was excellent. Kind and quick to respond with any questions. Home was clean, neighborhood felt safe and walkable. Beach and playground within a block or two. Lovely small backyard patio space. All bedrooms are upstairs and quite small but they were adequate and we had all we needed. Appreciated the coffee in the mornings and the high chair for the baby.

Wonderful Cottage

The description of this cottage is SPOT ON! We traveled with an infant and a toddler and 4 adults. Spotless!!!! Wooden floors throughout made it perfect for HESS trucks and mini cars. no tripping hazards!!! We also had a dog, and the rear fenced in yard, a blessing! We were very grateful for the hose as well to rinse our legs and feet, including the dogs before entering. My Grandson spent hours at the park around the corner!!! had a great nap that day. Water shoes were mentioned in a previous review, and I agree for the beach area. The locals were so friendly and full of insight. We WILL as a family rent this cottage again in the near future as our family grows. so close to everything!!! Jason!! I can't say enough about the immediate line of communication! Not that I needed to complain, but just to compliment and Thank!

Perfect coastal getaway

We booked this property for a girls weekend and it was absolutely perfect. The host’s communication was next level! The house was everything it was advertised to be and was in the best location. A quiet neighborhood, walking distance to several restaurants and a short walk to the water. The house was impeccably clean and is well maintained with all the amenities you could need. We loved the seating in the back yard and the coffee bar was a hit. There’s so much natural lighting in the house—just a great property. We also loved the binder with all the beaches ranked with thorough descriptions…such a nice touch! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great cottage

Cozy, clean and comfortable - in a superb location

My family of four spent a week at this sweet little cottage while visiting relatives for the holidays. As someone who grew up less than 10 miles away, I can tell you this is the *best* location in southeastern MA and RI, with a close proximity to everything - shopping, restaurants, beaches and tourist attractions. You're in a quaint neighborhood on the water; great for walking or biking, yet close to the highway - within a short drive of Providence, Newport or Boston. The property is very well maintained and smartly updated, and we could not have asked for a more friendly and courteous host. We enjoyed our trip so much we're talking about returning in the summer. :)

Enjoyable stay in Portsmouth

My family of five stayed at the property for four nights. Had plenty of room for sleeping, gathering and eating. One bathroom was manageable for all of us as there were mirrors and outlets conveniently located in the bedrooms. And no fogging up in the bathroom helped with taking back to back showers. Laundry was available which was great since our towels were smelly from the beach. AC units worked well. Coffee bar available which I find essential! Gated backyard was nice for our dog. Walk to the beach was more like five minutes. Beach is nice for walking along but would advise going to Second Beach in Middletown for swimming. Owner was prompt in returning calls when we had questions.

Adorable House

Needing a place to stretch out for a few days this cozy house was just what we were looking for. Jason was easy to work with and went over and above to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. Our kids liked the close proximity to the beach!

Very welcoming, clean & full of light

The house was exactly what our family was looking for. A fun beach neighborhood to walk around. The listing is accurate, the beach is only a minute walk down the road and you can see it from the house. The neighborhood was friendly and there were plenty of different restaurant and food options nearby. I felt like we could relax in the home right away and it had so much really nice natural light. The backyard was a great place to sit and look up at the sky. My 2 year old daughter was so happy with the many beach toys available and the various indoor toys that were provided. It was also really nice to find a place that welcomed my dog! The fenced in yard was perfect for her. Everything I was wondering about was perfectly explained in the binder provided. The bathroom was spacious, updated, and had a great tub & shower. Also, the owner responded to our texts right away and was always helpful. Altogether, a wonderful stay for us!
