This apartment, in the hillside of Monte dos Judeus, places you in one of Porto’s most scenic and authentic corners - a quiet residential area with postcard-worthy views, just a short walk from the riverside and Alfândega. Though you're close to the city’s buzz, this spot feels like a secret - peaceful, charming, and a little off the beaten path.

The Space

Spread across two floors, this beautiful duplex offers plenty of space to settle in and feel at home. Whether you’re visiting for a few days or staying longer, the thoughtful layout and curated design make it a comfortable base.

Lower Level

The heart of the apartment is a bright, open-plan living space where natural light pours in through large windows. Relax in the cozy lounge, complete with a sofa, armchair, and flat-screen TV, or gather around the elegant round wooden table for meals or remote work.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook or unwind at home, including a central island, stove, oven, microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, and washing machine for added convenience.

A stylish guest bathroom on this level adds extra ease during your stay.

Upper Level

Upstairs, you’ll find two serene bedrooms, each with a double bed, tufted headboard, blackout curtains, and generous built-in storage. One room faces the rooftops and the Douro River and features a convenient work desk - perfect for digital nomads. The second overlooks a quiet inner courtyard for a more tranquil retreat. Both bedrooms come with their own en suite bathroom, featuring modern walk-in showers.

Good to Know

- Hilly terrain: Monte dos Judeus involves uphill walking and staircases. However, new mechanised pedestrian walkways (escalators) nearby make climbing the hill surprisingly effortless.

- Pedestrian-only access: the street is accessible exclusively on foot, with staircases leading up to the property. It's important to take this into account when arriving with luggage or for guests with reduced mobility.

- Third-floor walk-up: the building has no elevator, so it's not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

- Parking is scarce, so we recommend arriving on foot or by public transport.

- Tranquil neighborhood: this is a calm, residential area. If you’re seeking Porto’s nightlife scene right at your doorstep, this might not be the best fit.

Monte dos Judeus is one of Porto’s hidden gems — a peaceful, residential hillside tucked between Miragaia and Palácio de Cristal. Far from the tourist crowds but still close to the city's most charming spots, it offers postcard views over the Douro River, quiet cobbled streets, and a truly local feel.

The neighborhood blends authenticity with calm: here, you’ll hear birdsong in the morning, see neighbours chatting at their doors, and watch the sunset from secret viewpoints just around the corner. It’s ideal for slow living, morning walks, and those who appreciate the quieter side of Porto without losing touch with the city.

From Monte dos Judeus, you can easily walk down to the riverside promenade, explore Alfândega’s cultural center, or head uphill to the gardens and galleries of Palácio de Cristal. Public transport options are nearby, but many of Porto’s best experiences are just a scenic walk away.

The Monte dos Judeus area, while more residential and peaceful, is still relatively well served by public transport, especially if you're happy to walk a little.

On foot:
Tram Line 1 (Infante stop): About 8–10 minutes away on foot, this scenic tram runs along the Douro River all the way to Jardim do Passeio Alegre—an iconic route loved by both locals and visitors.

Buses:
There are several bus stops nearby, especially along Rua da Restauração and near Alfândega, offering easy access to the city centre, Boavista, and São Bento station.

São Bento Station (train and metro):
Roughly 20 minutes on foot, it connects directly to the airport via metro, and to other cities through regional and urban rail lines.

Extra tip:
Although the area is hilly, newly installed mechanised walkways (escalators) make the climb much easier, especially between the riverside and higher-up neighborhoods like Monte dos Judeus.

All in all, while there’s no metro station right at the door, this location still gets you wherever you need to go, on foot, by tram, or by bus, with the added bonus of some of Porto’s most beautiful walks along the way.

￫ The property is Self-Catered. Complimentary basic items are provided for your arrival, including first-day toiletries, toilet paper, etc. These items are offered on a welcome basis only - replacements or re-fills are not provided.

￫ Bed and bath linen are provided according to the number of guests confirmed in the reservation. For stays longer than 7 nights, additional bed and bath linen will be provided for free at the check-in.

￫ The Cleaning Fee included in your reservation covers the check-out cleaning only. Extra cleanings or fresh linens can be requested during your stay and are subject to an extra fee - these requests must be done with at least 24 hours in advance.

￫ Check-in time starts at 17:00 and check-out must be done until 11:00(am). Before leaving, please place the keys inside the lockbox.

￫ During the stay, the guest is responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of the property's keys. Please avoid leaving them in the lock or mailbox. In the event that a specialized technician is needed for door opening or in case of damage to the key and/or lock, the costs associated with this service will be the responsibility of the guest. In case of key loss, a penalty will be applied.
