Unit A is the top half of a two-unit house, entered from the left door on the front porch and up a short flight of stairs.

Second floor: the living room with a Roku TV, the kitchen with quartz counters, stainless appliances and a six-seat table, a full bathroom, one bedroom with a queen-over-queen bunk, and the washer and dryer.

Third floor: the second bedroom with two queen beds and its own full bathroom.

Each room has a mini-split for heat and AC, and there are wall heaters as backup. Closets, dressers and luggage racks in the bedrooms, USB lamps by the beds, coffee pods for the single-serve machine, and shampoo, body wash and laundry soap stocked.

You have the whole upper unit to yourself. The lockbox is at the left-hand door on the front porch, and the code arrives by Airbnb message before check-in. Bags can be left inside from noon. The lower unit is a separate apartment with its own door.

Check-in is self-guided, so you can arrive on your own schedule. I'm a message away whenever you need anything during your stay.

Slabtown is the quiet end of NW Portland, with the busy parts a short walk in any direction. Jamison Square and the Fields park are seven minutes toward the Pearl, Powell's City of Books sixteen, and the shops and restaurants of NW 23rd fourteen. Emerald Line, a Mediterranean place with a terrace, is around the corner, Jebale Coffee six minutes, Ken's Artisan Bakery on NW 21st for croissants, and Salt & Straw's original scoop shop on 23rd. Providence Park, for Timbers and Thorns matches, is a 14-minute walk.

Parking on these streets is permit-only, and we hold guest permits: send us your plate before arrival and you park free on the street. Without it, the garages nearby charge by the day.

The Portland Streetcar stops two minutes away and runs through the Pearl to downtown. Downtown is a 24-minute walk, PDX airport an 18-minute drive. Fred Meyer is 11 minutes on foot, New Seasons 16.

Stairs: a short flight up to the unit and another to the top bedroom. The bunk room has a low ceiling over the top bunk, so it suits kids and shorter adults better than tall ones. This is a two-unit house, so you'll sometimes hear the apartment below. Washcloths aren't provided, towels are.
