Master bedroom features a comfortable queen size bed, with high quality mattress and linens for a comfortable nights sleep. There is closet for guests personal items and plenty of space to spread out.
The full bathroom is modern, clean and updated with a tile shower and new fixtures! Bathroom amenities include quality linens, shampoo and conditioner, and hairdryer. Bathroom is located on the 2nd level by the bedroom and there is a Washer & Dryer in the hallway.
The main living area has a comfortable couch that pulls out to a Queen sofa sleeper. There is a flat screen TV for catching up on your favorite Netflix series or for lounging and reading a book. Tall windows and sliding doors to the private patio create a bright and open feel.
Enjoy eating in, with your full kitchen including refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of cookware and utensils. Windows bring in tons of sunlight and kitchen opens to living area. Sliding glass doors open to private patio that is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or drinking your morning coffee in the sunshine! FREE street parking available. This home accepts up to (2) pre-approved Dogs with an additional $50 per pet fee. We are NOT able to accommodate cats due to allergies. Please be sure to read our Pet Policy before booking.

The Neighborhood: Buckman is a neighborhood in the Southeast section of Portland, Oregon. The neighborhood is bounded by the Willamette River on the west, E Burnside St. on the north, SE 28th Ave. on the east, and SE Hawthorne Blvd. on the south. The Buckman neighborhood is in a great location as it is in close proximity to some of Portland’s most hip and popular neighborhoods such as Kerns, Laurelhurst, and Belmont. Residents have plenty of independent retail, coffee, pub, and dining options just a stone’s throw away in most cases across several adjoining neighborhoods. Buckman’s Hawthorne District is one of the most unique, and most popular areas in Southeast Portland. The area is known for its wonderfully restored Old Portland homes, liberal residents, and fun and funky feel. The street is lined with unique restaurants and shops and has a definite Portland-local flair. Local area standouts are Slow Bar, Rontoms, My Father’s Place, and the Lucky Labrador Brew Pub. Compared to most other areas of Portland, there is so much to eat and drink in Buckman that you can spend every day trying a new place and it will take you over a year to get to them all. Buckman is a foodie’s paradise, but it’s also home to a wide array of local microbreweries. In case you weren’t aware, Portland has more microbreweries per capita than any other city in the world, and it seems that almost all of them call Buckman home.
Getting Around: To have an authentic Portland experience, there is no need to leave the neighborhood. Shopping, dining and entertainment are abundant. This is very urban area convenient for walking, biking or using public transportation. Portland also has a wonderful Bike Share BIKETOWN located all over Portland Metro. You could get around efficiently with an UBER. Public Transportation is close by with a bus stop only a few minute walk from the house. You can use the buses and the MAX light rail to get anywhere in Portland Metro. Great Coffee, dining and a grocery store blocks from the property.
Other Things to Note: Portland City Code requires that we keep a log with the Name, Address and Vehicle Information for ALL adult guests. This will be required before check in. If you are renting a vehicle, we will need the License Plate number or we will need to note alternate transportation (ie; air, train, bike) Please provide this information with your confirmed booking and check that you are booked for the correct number of guests. ~You may be required to provide a photo of your Drivers License or Government ID directly to the host. This is for the safety and security of both guests & property Owners, and will be requested at the discretion of Stay in My DIstrict. - No additional guests and visitors/guests that are not registered on the reservation booking are allowed to be on the property after 10pm. - Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal. - Self Check In using electronic lock. Check-In is any time after 4:00 PM and Check-Out is by 11:00 AM. ~ Housekeeping is required on all stays over 15 nights and is provided for an additional charge of $60. ~ Up to 2 pre-approved, well-behaved Dog allowed for an additional non-refundable pet fee of $50 per pet. Please notify us if you are bringing your pet AND be sure to read and understand our Pet Policy.
We are happy to welcome your well behaved, and house trained dog into our home! -We do NOT accept Cats due to allergies. -There is an additional pet fee of $50 per pet, which we will request the additional pet fee via an alteration request after the booking is confirmed. Please also be aware of our pet policy: -Pets should not be left unattended at the property inside or outdoors. We do have kennels available on request for an additional fee. -Please pick up after your pets in outdoor areas immediately. -Pets are NOT allowed on furnishings or linens. Evidence of pets on furnishings or linens will result in additional cleaning fees to guest. -Pet fee accounts for additional cleaning and normal wear & tear due to hosting pets. Pet fee does NOT cover damage or additional cleaning above and beyond reasonable wear & tear
Interaction with Guests: I can be available by text message, phone call or email. I try to give my guests complete privacy but live close by and can be available if needed. The owner lives onsite but does not want to be disturbed so if you need anything please contact me directly.

Everything was great. Getting into the house was easy, the indoor temperature was perfect (it was super hot outside), and the location is great! The place is really well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen, bedroom, vanity, or bathroom. Everything was clean and in good shape and we would definitely stay there again! And I'll bring my dog next time.

Home base in our Portland-as-hub long weekend
My teen daughter, our dog, and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was exactly as described. The washer and dryer were a huge perk after long, very rainy hikes. I walked to the Washington High School dog park each morning, and stopped by Sweetpea across the street for pastries. Very nice. The street parking was no problem at all.

As advertised, very clean, modern, comfortable. It was just two of us, so size was perfect. Owner is very responsive. On street parking in front of building was never a problem for our one vehicle. We'd do it again.

Great spot in an cool neighborhood. Property looked just like the listing and met all our needs. Hosts were friendly and fast to respond.
Ended up street parking (there was plenty around). Only minor complaint was that the parking instructions weren’t super clear, but it was in no way a big deal and street parking worked just fine.

Cool Loft in great neighborhood
This is a great little loft apartment in an awesome area of Portland, nearby lots of restaurants, bars, and shops. The apartment itself was clean and very well stocked with everything you might need (including several towels, which is appreciated!) The manager was great and quick with communication. Overall I would recommend this spot as a great option in the neighborhood and I would definitely rebook another visit here. Thank you!

Nice spot for a longer stay
Nice, clean townhouse, well equipped for longer stays. Easy on-street parking! Some imprecision in door lock instruction, but responsive management company, and we figured it out. Not economical for short stays with cleaning fees, etc, but you can’t beat a nice pet-friendly townhouse! Situated in Belmont which is about halfway between Hawthorne and Buckman. Lots of good cafes within easy walk. Hot water problem at bathroom sink reported and owner checked it out, thought it was fixed, but it never worked for us.

Cozy, spacious, beautiful home away from home in the best part of Portland
I stayed here two months with my dog after moving across the country to Portland. I was very anxious about living in a strange, big city for the first time, but this “rowhouse” made exploring Portland a breeze. It’s a 2 & 1/2 story townhouse off of Belmont in the heart of the coolest, most walkable part of SE Portland. Coffee shops, bars, restaurants, boutiques, parks (including the phenomenal Laurelhurst Park) are all in very close walking distance. Old Friends coffee and The Mont (try the Benedicts!) were my go-to places first thing in the morning. The rowhouse was jam packed with everything I could need, with amenities like a washer and dryer, a full kitchen, a comfy couch/pullout futon, an upstairs desk, patio and grill, and tons of big windows to let in natural light. It was the perfect amount of space to have a home base as I explored Portland. Downtown is five minutes west across the bridge, and incredible trails in Forest Park are just fifteen minutes away (visit the Portland Audubon at the top of wildwood trail!). The Columbia river gorge is also close, as is the airport and great groceries and museums… I could go on and on. Despite providing ear plugs, I found the street noise from the top bedroom to be nonexistent. It’s important to mention the rowhouse is accessible from a private alley covered in moss and plants and alongside neighbor’s gardens, with tons of parking on SE Morrison which I was always able to find a spot on. Management was always responsive. 10/10

The host was very responsive and the neighborhood and location were great. However, during our winter stay the heater on the main floor was set to the maximum and the living area was still very cold, which made it uncomfortable to spend time there. The property could also benefit from some basic upkeep and small improvements that would make it feel more welcoming. For example, there were not enough towel racks for two people to hang bath and hand towels, some towel racks were broken, and there were no extra blankets or throws in the living area despite the cold temperature. Adding a few pillows on the couches and ensuring basic fixtures are repaired would significantly improve the experience.

I chose this because it was close to family. Worked out well and I never had any problem finding close street parking. Worked well for two people. My sister slept on the futon without pulling it open and said it was very comfortable. Bed upstairs was comfortable and very little street noise. Kitchen well stocked.
