Located in the heart of Kerns, this neighborhood blends Portland’s creative spirit with plenty to explore. Kerns is a haven for food lovers, design nerds, and coffee snobs alike.



Explore local favorites like Screen Door, Canard, Slow Haste, and Holman's, with easy access to countless indie boutiques, brewpubs, bakeries, and hidden gems along East Burnside, 28th, and Sandy. Walk through leafy streets, sip a craft latte, or catch a show at Revolution Hall. Whether you’re visiting for work or play, this is one of Portland’s most walkable and vibrant areas.



Getting Around:

🚶 Walking — You're in Portland's Kerns neighborhood, with the NE 28th Avenue restaurant row plus nearby cafes, shops, and Whole Foods a short walk from 925 NE 23rd Ave.



🚌 Bus — Several TriMet lines run on nearby streets, including Line 19 (Glisan) and Line 20 (Burnside/Stark), with service to downtown Portland. Check trimet.org for the best route.

🔒 Privacy + Building Setup

This ground-floor studio sits under the kitchen of the adjacent townhouse-style unit and has a locked connecting door near the bathroom. The door stays locked for studio-only bookings and your space is private. Neighbor voices, footsteps and kitchen sounds can be audible, including at night.



🌆 Urban Setting

The studios in this building are ground-floor and face north next to an industrial building by the freeway. Highway noise and other urban sounds can be audible at times.



🪑 Compact Setup

There is no separate desk or TV. Seating is armchairs with a side table, so the studio works best as a simple walkable home base rather than a desk-based work setup. There is no in-unit or building laundry.



Six exterior steps lead to the studio, with no interior stairs. Do not park or unload in the front street spaces on weekdays from 7 AM to 6 PM; these are reserved for businesses.

🚭 No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must leave the property completely.



Interaction with Guests:

We're available by message anytime and typically respond within minutes. We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
