À propos de cet hébergement

Alberta Arts 4BR • 5 Queen Beds • Sleeps 11

  • Three floors, set up so a big group can spread out.

Ground floor: two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with queen-over-queen bunks. No bathroom on this floor.

Second floor: the living room, with big windows, a deep couch and a 65" TV, plus the kitchen, fully equipped, with a farmhouse table that seats everyone, a half bath, and the washer and dryer.

Third floor: two more queen bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom.

Every bedroom has its own mini-split, so each room sets its own heat or AC. Fast Wi-Fi, and a crib if you need one. The sofa bed in the living room sleeps one more, and the farmhouse table doubles as the workspace.

The whole house is yours. Entry is by a lockbox next to the front door, and the code arrives through messages before you arrive, so you come and go as you please. Bags can be dropped from noon on arrival day.

Check-in is self-guided, so you can arrive on your own schedule. I'm a message away whenever you need anything during your stay.

You're on a quiet block in the King neighborhood, between NE MLK and the Alberta Arts District, with the useful things close: Natural Grocers and Cason's Fine Meats are a 3-minute walk, and the Piedmont Station food carts, with covered seating and a beer cart, are 6. Alberta Street proper starts about 15 minutes east on foot. Brunch at Tin Shed or Pine State Biscuits, Salt & Straw for dessert, and the Alberta Rose Theatre for a show. Hat Yai on Killingsworth does the best Thai fried chicken in town. Peninsula Park's rose garden is a 20-minute walk north, and N Mississippi Avenue about 25 minutes west.

Parking is free, unrestricted street parking with room for several cars. It's a residential block with little through traffic. The 6 (MLK) and 72 (Killingsworth) buses stop two blocks away, and the MAX Yellow Line at N Killingsworth is a 20-minute walk for a straight shot downtown. The neighborhood is flat with a Bike Score of 100. Driving, PDX airport is about 20 minutes and downtown 20 to 25.

Stairs are the main thing to know. The two ground-floor bedrooms have no bathroom on their floor: the half bath is one flight up and the only showers are inside the two third-floor bedrooms, so the house doesn't suit anyone who struggles with stairs. The living room sofa bed is best for one adult or a kid. Towels are provided, washcloths aren't.

This is a residential street with neighbors who look out for it. Parties, events and guests beyond the booked count get reported and shut down, and the stay ends there.
