« Centrally located with easy access to downtown, yet secluded in quiet forest setting. Perfect setting for either s’mores by the camp fire or an evening on the town. Sleeps six but might be a little crowded with more than 4. Hosts were accessible if needed but otherwise seldom seen. Highly recommend. »

« I really enjoyed my stay. The calm place on the river bank. It is clean, light and shadows, panoramic windows. All looks as expected. There was bad smell from bathroom and I can’t find the cause, but we closed the door and problem was almost solved. The location is good. You can visit Portland (0,5 hour) or city environs without traffic. Good restaurants and large grocery’s in 10 minutes drive. »

There are eclectic details throughout, and the hosts have thought of all amenities you might need for your stay. The garden just outside the cottage door is lush and peaceful. The accommodations were perfect- like a home away from home. »

« My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous romantic birthday weekend at the “Old Barn” and we definitely plan to return! We were delighted with the globally eclectic decor, super comfortable bed, private setting, deck and hot tub and incredibly large shower… everything we needed for a romantic weekend. Plus a baby grand piano! So I was able to serenade him with love songs. Thanks for creating such a lovely space and making our stay easy and comfortable. »

« We stayed here two nights as part of an anniversary trip. The decor is really well done, you have your own little front yard space with chairs to enjoy the nice weather ( we were visiting from Vegas so enjoyed being out of the heat). It’s a quick easy walk to Mississippi Ave where there are lots of restaurants and bars- and Kates ice cream all gluten free and delicious. The hosts were responsive to messages. I’d highly recommend this place to a couple visiting the area! »

« Overall great experience. The until is smaller than expected and the two chairs meant for the desk were a bit wobbly and unsteady. Really wonderful backyard with views of the river and very welcoming for my dog-thoughtful treats left as well as convenient dog bowls. The location was incredible-beautiful path through the woods, and convenient to grocery store, pet store, and other services. Host was accessible and responsive. »

« This is just a great spot. This was our second stay there and we'll be back again next year. Lill is a fantastic host, very thoughtful and generous, even offering to share home-made treats, or figs from her tree. Getting around Portland is easy from this quiet, picturesque neighborhood. 5 stars! »
