« So peaceful! We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed some great mountain biking. Lots of wildlife and very good wild swimming. »

« Park Cottage is set in a lovely location in Cally Woods (so many great walks and cycle opportunities). Also with use of the Cally Palace Hotel facilities including the swimming pool. However the house was unclean, especially the kitchen with unusable pans and not enough cutlery to sit 9 people in one setting. There was black mould on the downstairs bathroom ceiling. Such a shame as the cottage is a great space for families and could be lovely, but when I have fed back about these issues I have...

« This gave us everything we were looking for. The cottage itself is well kitted out, and has everything that is needed, but the quiet county location is perfect. Sited near the main road, but not close enough to be bothered by traffic noise, so you can get out and about easily, there are also walks from the door so that you can just leave the car and head out for the day. »

« Very pleased with the size of the rooms . The lounge had enough seating for all of our party (11) and the large dining table was excellent. The bedrooms were roomy, including a couch as well as beds. The only downside was the 3 bathrooms were some distance away. A toilet at either end would have been more practical. The kitchen was rather small but well equipped. »

« We were looking for a relaxing short break with a few walks. This location was perfect. Drummore was a nice quiet town with a lovely local pub, shop and cafe a few minutes walk away. »

« My friends and I had a wonderful weekend stay at Seabank. The property is homely and cosy (especially once the coal fire is up and running!) and the large kitchen areas made cooking and dining together very straightforward for our group of six. The local pub is less than 10 minutes' walk, although make sure to take a torch if you'll be returning in the dark! I would highly recommend Seabank to anyone looking for a base to explore the nearby walks and sights, or just for a quiet getaway. »

« The house was an ideal setting to see in the new year. The area has lots of interesting walks and cycling routes. The hosts provided plenty communication ahead of the booking and accomodated for our youngest guest (1 year old). The property could benefit from a few more kitchen essentials (bin bags, dish clothes etc), but this a wasn't major issue. All in all, a really nice stay. »

« A lovely apartment, peaceful and based in a beautiful area, with plenty of interest for all tastes. The design and style of the apartment is unique, clean, and well presented with a lovely sized dining table. Plenty of hot water for the 3 ensuite showers, but a lack of clothes storage in middle bedroom. A few side tables in the lounge area would be handy and better more comfortable settees – a very tight squeeze for 6 adults! Could also do with at least one bigger saucepan in the kitchen. We...

« The cottage was amazing and very well equipped, spotlessly clean and modern but very comfortable, with a very welcome selection of treats waiting for us. We know the area well so it was the perfect location for us to do a bit more discovering of Dumfries and Galloway. Would certainly recommend the cottage and we hope to get there again. »

« We had a wonderful week at Cochmans Cottage. The cottage is much more spacious than the impression given by the photographs. The property was immaculate when we arrived. Evelyn was a really friendly host when we met her but she was not at all intrusive, If you are looking for an away from it all property set in a stunning location this property is bad to beat. »
