The Perk Inn, Cosy & Secluded Garden Lodge

Welcome to The Perk Inn, a private and secluded garden lodge located in the central area of Broadstone, Poole in Dorset. Nestled within the garden of the owners' home, the space features a cosy double bedroom, modern shower room, an open plan kitchen/living room and a fenced courtyard where you can enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. Just a short walk to local shops, restaurants and transport links, The Perk Inn is the ideal relaxing base for exploring Dorset and surrounding areas.

The space

Wander through the enchanted festooned ivy archway and you'll discover the ultimate home away from home*…

You'll enter into the cosy living room where you'll find a comfortable 2 seater sofa & footstool. There is a 43" LG 4K Smart TV with live Freesat channels and on demand capabilities such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ etc. A guest Netflix account will be available for you to use throughout your stay.

Within the same room is a fully equipped kitchen with a 4 zone induction hob, fan oven, fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle and toaster. Complete with all crockery, utensils, glasses and oven dishes/trays, there is everything you will need for your stay.

For your convenience, there is a 2 seater drop-leaf dining table.

We provide a complimentary welcome hamper which can include milk, orange juice, bread, cereal, shortbread and a selection of coffee and Dorset Tea (products will vary depending on duration of stay).

Off the living room is the warm and snug double bedroom and shower room. All bedding is fresh and anti-allergy. There is a full length mirror and a bedside unit on each side complete with hangers. A hairdryer is supplied. The bedroom also has black-out lined curtains to ensure a good night sleep!

Moving into the modern shower room, there is a sliding door enclosure with electric shower and we supply some Faith In Nature Shampoo/Conditioner and Body Wash. Full height pedestal basin and soft-close WC. There is a large heated towel rail and we provide fresh soft bath & head towels for each guest.

Full fast wi-fi throughout the accommodation and wi-fi programmed electric radiators in the living room and bedroom.

In the summer months, the outside private courtyard is a lovely place for you to enjoy an evening drink or early morning coffee. It is a real sun trap until about 3pm when the sun goes behind the old oak trees. You could also enjoy an al fresco dinner using the bistro set of table and chairs.

We are a 1 mile walk from the local village of Broadstone which has a great variety of local shops, cafes and restaurants. There is an M&S Foodhall which is next to a Wetherspoons (The Blackwater Stream). If you fancy a take away, there are plenty of options in Broadstone such as fish & chips, pizza, Chinese, Thai and Indian.

*Please note that access to The Perk Inn from the street is via our property side gate in which you will walk through our main rear garden towards the ivy archway and then into your fenced private area.

You will have full sole use of the private fenced courtyard where the garden lodge is situated.

Other things to note

There is ample free street parking outside our property. The Perk Inn is a great base if you wish to explore the Jurassic coast, The Purbecks, New Forest and the many other lovely places in Dorset. We have no minimum night stay so would be perfect if you are attending a wedding, travelling with work or just fancy 1 night away! If you'd like to play a round of golf, we are a very short drive to Broadstone Golf Club also.

There are some great local walks from The Perk Inn. Just up the road is Broadstone Heath and Delph Woods. A slightly longer walk will take you to Upton Heath & Upton Country Park. If you wish to venture a bit further afield, we will provide some other lovely walk suggestions in our Welcome Guide.

We are very fortunate to be so close to Sandbanks Beach and Poole Quay which are a 15 minute drive away. Poole Ferry Terminal is also a 15 minute drive and Bournemouth Airport is a 20-25 minute drive. Poole train station is 10-15 minute car journey to Broadstone.

We have a very friendly Yorkie called Murphy who you may bump into when you walk down the side path into the garden. He loves a bit of attention and fuss!
