« I wish I did a little more research before booking. This lodge used to be a hostel and still seems more like a hostel than lodge. It would be perfect if I wasn’t traveling with a toddler who wants to get into everything. Location is about a five minute drive from the beach. We saw a ton of deer. It’s a little ways to the shipwreck and lighthouse. Great for trail access. Overall, if you’re traveling with small children or folks who overheat easily, maybe not the best place. « stayed there 8 days on multiple reservations as we were dealing with issues in our apartment and had an unpredictable schedule. Staff was great in making the check out and check in process smooth. Julia was especially outstanding in customer service, friendliness and very knowledgeable. She always has a smile on her face and her friendliness was great in a time of stress. « Enjoyed the space, amenities and the absolute peacefulness. The chickens! Location is just off of the main road and super close to a small market and deli. For a fairly remote location had a great dinner at The Station House and a yummy breakfast at The Roadhouse. While there is plates/cups, cookware, hot plate, toaster oven and microwave be sure to bring eating and cooking utensils. »
