Wombat Burrow

My friend and I were staying for an event, and chose a room with two single beds were "upgraded" to a double bed and single bunk bed, we were unable to have the room we booked. The bunk bed was hard and whilst the bottom sheet was on, it was not clean and I had to dust it off and make it myself. Very cramped, a bit of a rabbit warren inside, and a shared bathroom with 5 other rooms. Certainly overpriced. Breakfast wasn't eaten there as it wasn't very clean in the kitchen, very dated, we ate out. Think of staying with you're 75 year old grandparents and you're getting the drift. Now the really fun part was the off street parking - hope your car is little and has parking sensors - you'll need it!

Lovely stop over!

The owner is a lovely gentlemen to have a chat with! The breakfast was very generous, lots in the kitchen to use and cook you own meals with , Bed & Breakfast the Best way to Travel!

Neat retreat on the Central Coast awaits your visi

Initial outside appearance with steep driveway left me a little cool. However once inside I felt much better. The facilities were clean and comprehensive. Too much for an overnight stay. One would have needed a week to enjoy the pool area, full kitchen, deck with multiple bbq. A library & DVD collection. I was the only guest and so received a free upgrade which was great. Lovely comfortable bed with more than adequate spare towels, blankets pillows etc. The only downside would be the single bathroom for 5 rooms if all were occupied.

Easter Stay

Possibly, we picked a bad time to stay, being the Easter Long Weekend, the B&B was fully booked...and noisy! We were disappointed by the shared facilities i.e. kitchen, lounge, toilet & bathroom. Also, being a B&B, I guess we were expecting a cooked breakfast - rather than a DIY cereal, toast, tea, coffee etc. Also, having to share with a sizeable family, the OJ was gone by the time we 'hit' the kitchen! On the + side...our host Laurie was most welcoming & obliging.

Comfortable stay on the Central Coast

Wombats is a traditional B&B in that the rooms are comfortable and breakfast is included. It's like staying at home, in that you have to clean up the kitchen yourself and share the bathroom with anyone else there. If you're lucky to be by yourself it's great - try midweek and off season. The rooms though are comfortable and well-stocked with linen, the fridge, TV and wireless.

Okay BnB close to some stuff

Wombats BnB was okay. It wasn't quite what I expected but I didn't know what to expect. The BnB consists of about four rooms that share a bathroom, common area and kitchen in which free breakfast is provided. The kitchen is nice, well kept, and breakfast consists of a selection of cereals, bread, muffins, crumpets, baked beans, coffee, juice and tea. The room wasn't quite as nice as I expected, but it was about average. The host was fairly nice, but he was a bit rude to some travellers who had a misconception about the place. Overall, it was okay. Wouldn't necessarily go back, but I didn't make use of the pool or computer facilities.

Good quality budget B&B

Generally property was very clean and tidy. Good kitchen with ample breakfast. Issues to be aware of. Shared bathroom and toilet. Mattress quite firm.

Great little B&B, not too far from Gosford town.

Ended up there by accident, but if I had to choose a B&B in Gosford again, it would be this one. Bus stops out the front very convenient. Neat, tidy and accommodating. Host is a lovely fellow.

Bad location and not welcoming at all, no room service and the owner is living with you on a site and controlling every step, overpriced and worst stay ever. Do not recommend

Reasonable price, great accommodation

I found Wombats B&b to be quite pleasant. The facilities were quite suitable and incredibly clean. The atmosphere and position were quite nice as well. The management was very helpful and forthcoming about useful facilities ie. Shops and restaurants in the area. Not a bad stay at all!

Was looking for a reasonable standard of accommodation at a good price and was very happy with what Laurie has to offer there at Wombats. He was very welcoming and helpful too.

Staying at Wombat

Laurie met us at arrival. He was most helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and spotless. My only recommendation is that there was no coffee apart from instant, yet many coffee plungers. We will definitely return.

We loved the facilities, cleanliness and the breakfast food. Parking is a bit tight and being on a busy road may deter some from front two rooms. Owner very congenial and friendly,very knowledgeable about local facilities.

January stay

Room was clean but smaller than it looked in the photo. Hard to sleep with the heat and no aircon. Leaving the window open let in the street noise. We had 4 rooms sharing 1 bathroom at peak times. Pre 7AM noise each day from the floor above wasn't the greatest as we were there for some R and R.

One uncomfortable night

The rooms were very simple. Other facilities were clean. It was hard to sleep as the hot water system kept making loud noises and the floors were very creaky so if you were on the bottom floor (like we were) it was very annoying. We only stayed one night and were very glad to leave in the morning!

Mycket trevligt B & B!

Mycket trevligt och trivsamt B & B! Vi fick ett varmt vÀlkomnande av Àgaren, som tipsade om supermarket och en fantastisk ThailÀndsk restaurang. Rent och snyggt. Bra frukostutbud. TyvÀrr sÄ hann vi inte anvÀnda poolen eftersom vi bara var pÄ genomresa. LÀtt att ta sig till tÄgstationen Point Clare. SÀngarna var jÀttesköna. Rummet var luftigt och fint möblerat. De gemensamma utrymmena var trevligt möblerade och allt var rent och fint sÄ Àven det gemensamma badrummet. Rekommenderas varmt!
