Location, location, location! This phenomenal penthouse vacation rental has it all- a central beachfront location with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and space for 6. This condo is the jewel in the crown of the El Faro complex. You're going to love it here!

Inside, our kitchen is fully equipped to make meals at home with plenty of stainless steel appliances. Our beds all have new linens and are very comfortable, and there are multiple TVs to watch throughout the home. Bathrooms come stocked with towels and toiletries, no need to bring your own!

Enjoy the sparkling pool, patios, views, and other amenities in the complex itself that are available to our guests. Sunny skies and ocean views await from the rooftop deck, you’ll want to bring your camera!

Take the stairs to the top penthouse floor where you have access to a private pool, lounge chairs for basking in the sun, or for peace and quite while you gaze out over the ocean. The 3rd bathroom is located here, on the penthouse level. There is also a propane grill and dining area to enjoy outdoor meals.

On-site amenities include infinity pool, massage therapy, fine dining, common area Wi-Fi and underground parking (Extra Parking Fee - 15 USD per night). Within easy walking distance of all your favorite shops and restaurants in Playa del Carmen! Perfect Getaway

My wife and I decided to take a little adult trip and while we were there we were able to take the ferry over to Cozumel for some amazing snorkeling. This location is so close to anything you may want. The lounging at pool was also a highlight. So many different restaurants and good food within walking distance. We have already booked again so we most certainly are going back.

Fantastic location for restaurants and shopping

The condo itself is nice with a gorgeous views. You are only about a two minute walk from all the restaurants and shopping. El Faro condos itself (all the common areas)s are maintained immaculately. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. They have two night guards who walk the perimeter. We felt very safe in our area of Playa Del Carmen. There are four things we wish we would have known.1. Don't plan on using the rooftop pool. The water had evaporated down to about 1 foot of green water and the tiles are either off or coming off. It is unusable. There are nice lounging chairs up there and the view is great. The common pool is beautiful.2.Bring noise cancelling earphones to sleep. The condo is situated directly in line from a nightclub that starts at 9pm and goes until 3am. It is LOUD!3. The front door: Place your hand over the keyboard until the blue light comes on and then put in the door code.We didn't know this and were fortunate enough to catch the receptionist before he left for the night. 4. El Faro put bright yellow wristbands on us. When you are up on Fifth Ave. the shop owners will say things like, "remember me, I helped you with .....at El Faro" trying to get you to come into their shop. Just know... the wristband is a beacon to everyone in town. Ignore them.I have Celiac and every restaurant we visited was very accommodating and I didn't get sick once from the food and it was delicious. Best restaurant: Nicoletta

Nice location - easy and accessible

Came to Playa del Carmen with a group of friends. We all stayed within the El Faro complex. The condo unit I rented worked very well. Its close to town (and dive shops). Plenty of restaurant options next door. The convenience to nearby bars and clubs made getting home very easy. I would stay again. Note: If you're a light sleeper, then I would recommend bringing ear plugs. Playa del Carmen's nightlife is loud until about 3am.

All about location

This property is all about the location being on the ocean and also centrally located about 1 block from 5th Street where shops/restaurants and such line the street. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing accommodation, this wouldn't be the place. The reviews are correct in saying the nitely music is loud until about 2:30-3am. The actual condo needs some revamping. Exterior paint is peeling. Spiral stairs to the rooftop are rusted with loose board. Barbeque needed a lighter to be lit, and the grate was disgusting. We bought aluminum foil on which to cook. Appeared as though the stove wasn't used ever and the microwave minimally. Additional pots/pans/containers for leftovers would be nice. I will say that the water dispenser was a great surprise (I missed that in the property photos)! The sofa (futon maybe you call it with the sleeper) was uncomfortable. Only 2 of the plastic chairs on the balcony had cushions, and even so, the cushions hung way out over the seat of the chair. The rooftop furniture was nicer. Nice touch for palm plants but need some water. Fortunately we have an Amazon Prime membership and figured out how to watch TV that way. Otherwise, no TV. Router had to be reset often. Shower pans didn't allow water to reach drains, so showers were taken in inches of standing water from previous shower. Housekeeping came every other day but didn't show our last 3 days. Folks on property don't do anything for this condo. We were missing washcloths/dish towels.

El Faro - Coral 401 - An amazing stay!

This was our first time staying in Coral 401. (we have stayed in another unit years ago). The unit is furnished very nicely with everything you would need. The rooftop patio and pool was wonderful. Nice to have your own space with an amazing view of the ocean! Management of the condo were fantastic to work with, responded quickly with any questions and requests. The location is perfect for access to the beach and to 5th Avenue. Yes, you can hear music at night, but there are bars and clubs all around Playa so it is to be expected. We love music - so we enjoyed it! There isn't much beach along most of the main part of Playa del Carmen - but that didn't stop us from enjoying the walks on the beach and visiting different beach bars! This was one of our favorite trips to Playa. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Pictures should be updated because it looks much better in real life than the current pictures. This place should be for 4 people max. Some positives and negatives: +host was very prompt at responding +pool and rooftop +great location at the heart of PDC. -the music was loud every night. Master bedroom was not too bad but the other bedroom does not have good soundproof. -not a deal breaker but the place needs better upkeeping -no new towels

If you are are looking for a place in the middle of all the action this is the place you will want to be! Within a few hundred feet are restaurants, shops, beaches and excursions. Lots of bars and nightclubs all around. So if you want the night life this is a great place to stay!

Great Location

We had a great time here with the location being so central to the action of downtown Playa. We liked being able to take advantage of the plunge pool at any time to cool off. The bed was pretty comfortable (we were in the master). The bath mat and a couple of the hand towels could use replacing as they are looking a little worn. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay with everything you need to rest and relax after checking out all the sites in Playa and in Cozumel.

El Faro is a superbly located building with wonderful amenities for a stay in Playa Del Carmen.

Wonderful location, good amenities, super secure feeling, beautiful views. We stayed in March ‘23 for Spring Break with 3 kids ( 7, 12, 15 ) and really enjoyed the pool. Proximity to restaurants, stores, bars, and even to organize tours would be hard to beat. Property management super easy to communicate with and super responsive to questions and to assist in organizing pick ups and tours. I would stay here again without hesitation due to all of the above. Thank you for a great week!

Awesome Stay!

Location Location Location! Not to mention a nice 2 bedroom 2 bath condo 
not to mention a private pool just for you and your party on the rooftop! I mean what’s not to like? I’ve stayed all over playa and El Faro is the place to be
