The view from the condo was absolutely amazing! There was basically nothing between us and the water, except the restaurant/nightclub underneath the condo unit. We could leave our doors open at night and listen to the waves (once the live band in the nightclub below us stopped playing). We could walk to Quinta Avenida in 2 minutes where we had our pick of restaurants and places to shop. We were about a 10 minute walk from a grocery store. The staff at the condo were incredibly nice and helpful when we needed it.We were, however, disappointed that the jets on the hot tub on the deck were not working and that there was no pool as advertised. There were also some used underwear found between the bed and the headboard in the guest room, which was a bit disconcerting.Overall, it was a great condo that I would recommend as long as you are okay with no pool and no working hot tub.

The view was excellent, the balcony huge and the location is close to everything. I read multiple reviews of the noise as there’s a beach club below the apartment… it is SUPER loud but it didn’t bother me. The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable but the furniture is stained so that threw me off as it looked dirty. The master bedroom has a sliding glass door to the balcony but was broken which was disappointing and the mattress was quite hard but that seems to be a common denominator in Mexico. ThemMy biggest issue is that there is no beach and just tables for the bar so that was also disappointing as multiple pictures showed sand and lounge chairs. Zoraida was great and went to meet us on day one to make herself available in the event we needed anything.

Good location

Have stayed in this unit previously, which was the reason for my return. Great downtown location if you're good with some club music below late into the night. However, the hot tub was not functioning this trip. The balcony location of the hot tub was a primary reason I loved the unit on the first stay. I requested repair on the first day, but no reply. There was also no concession later of a portion of the rental cost, which is surprising since they advertise that "amenity".

Best of Both Worlds

The outside façade of Malto Cortes condominiums is modern and inviting with a friendly security attendant present at all times. The condo was impeccably clean, modern and functional. Some of the upholstery is worn and in need of replacement, especially the white muslin seat covers on the dining room chairs. The restaurant/night club below the condo is fun with live local pop bands but wound down by 12:30 AM which we found acceptable. Loved the proximity to local beaches and downtown restaurants, shopping and nightclubs.

Our much needed getaway

For starters, Our host was the absolute best! She went above and beyond, to make our mini vacation more enjoyable. From booking our transportation to and from the airport, booking us a private driver to take us to Tulum to see the Ruins and shopping. Room was almost perfect. The music from Zenzi was literally, music to our ears. As they had at least 2 live bands playing everyday!!!. Will definitely book again.

Great stay for vacation!

Location and apartment is great but the club downstairs can be an issue if you are remote working during the day. Loud music plays from afternoon until late at night even on weekdays.

Beautiful space for a vacation!

We LOVED this condo! The perfect location, unbelievable view, close to everything Playa. It is, however, directly over a lively nightclub with live music until 11:30 and recorded music until 1:30 am. Being a musician I liked being there but if you stay in the master bedroom you’ll need earplugs and a pillow over your head to sleep before bar closing. I had no problems, however my wife did. So if you’re night owls I recommend 100%! I think all the positives outweigh the one possible drawback.

Excellent location close to 5th avenue. Best view of the ocean in Playa!!! Please be aware that there is live music directly below the condo until late at night. If you are a light sleeper this could be problematical. We wore earplugs and managed to get to sleep.

Beautiful Large Family Home

This is my 3rd time renting this home because of how spacious it is. We have family in Fountain Hills so this home is very accommodating. My only regret is the early check out times. They are too early and the Turn-Key seems very un-open to allowing late check out even if available. Overall...great home and clean and well stocked for items you may need when away. Will definitely stay here again. Hopefully we don't get rushed out the door on the next visit.

Perfect location.

The home was clean, comfortable, amazing views and very relaxing! Walking distance from anything you want! Definitely would stay here again. The only very small issue, it is directly above the beach bar Zenzi. It is a busy place, fun, good music and food. It's just loud and if you are someone that goes to bed early, that may be a little difficult. Overall, I loved it!

Awesome location but a bit loud

Communication with host was easy and helpful. Several fabulous beach restaurants steps from our door, eating with your toes in the sand.. I loved laying on the balcony and hearing the birds and the ocean. However, From 1pm -1 am, the bars and restaurants start up their music. It is not like Coco Bongo loud, but bring earplugs and white noise. The beds are, in my opinion, very very firm. If you prefer a softer bed, you might need to go get a mattress topper. Clean drinkable water supplied in large jugs and attached to refrigerator water dispenser. No communal pool, only the plunge pool, which can be a challenge to get in and out of safely. Taxis are abundant, clean and waiting near by. Overall great and easy.

Excellent location, lots of room and a glorious view

This was our first time in Playa del Carmen, and the condo was the perfect home base for us. 5th Ave, the beach, and food options were in walking distance. Condo was clean, had ample space for the 4 of us, and the view of the ocean and beach was spectacular. Would highly recommend staying here if you're looking to be near all the action. Zoraida was also extremely helpful, and even stopped in to check on us before we headed back to the US and the covid 19 craziness. Would definitely stay here again.

Even better than the VRBO Pictures ! Huge living space and the Balcony was so large and the Ocean front view is so great. Everything was great from the Air Conditioning to the Hot Water supply. There is a Bar down stairs and there is music every night until about 2:00 am but it's good music and didn't really effect our sleeps - take ear plugs if you are a really lite sleeper. The Condo Manager Zoraida C. was wonderful and handled every question or request we had instantly. The Condo was great and Zoraida made the experience Fantastic.

Great extended weekend in Playa!

Having stayed in this unit several times before, the location is the best! The HUGE ocean front balcony is like no other. You have your own outdoor room with the best view and a great vibe from Zenzi down below. The condo decor could use a little upgrade and the toilets don’t always work great. Bring ear plugs if you don’t want to enjoy the late night music. The beach in front of Zenzi is ok, but not fabulous. But the location trumps everything else for me. We will be back!

Perfect condo and location

Great condo in the perfect location in Playa del Carmen. Right on the beach with a huge balcony and amazing views. One block away is 5th Ave and every amenity you could possibly need on a vacation. Zoraida is awesome to deal with and simple to book. Will book this place again.

Fabulous Size, Deck and Location

We loved our visit to Playa Del Carmen and glad we found this condo. It was wonderful waking up every morning to such a gorgeous view. The deck was large and amazing with plenty of loungers for everyone in my family of 5 to enjoy. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans if you want to cook but we ate out every night but did cook breakfast. They made up a separate bed for my 3rd daughter so she didn't have to sleep on the couch. There is a Walmart just 4 blocks away for easy grocery shopping (we walked it's that close). Also there is a Mexican market Mega not far either as well as a pastry shop on constitution we went to every day plus the gelato and macaroons at Amorino. EL Pirata was our favorite fish place, Don Sirloin or El Fagon for Tacos, Not to mention it's one block from the 5th street which is about a mile long Pedestrian only Main Street with eats, bars and knick knack stuff to buy. Zoraida was wonderful, left us a present Christmas Day and checked in to see if we needed anything periodically. She gave us great recommendations for eating. And responded quickly to any messages we sent. If you love to Dive this is also an ideal location. There were 4 dive shops right on this block and all seemed to launch from the beach in front of the condo. We went with Abyss and had 4 great dives with a very convenient location (just walked down stairs)! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the Zenzi Bar right below us. About 5 pm the music started and played so loud we had to keep the patio doors closed and they are glass so it was still fairly loud with the live band using drums, guitar and a singer right below our deck under the awning. I'm sure it was because of Christmas but the music played till 2 am every night. I had to sleep with ear plugs the first 2 nights and after that I don't know if I was too tired to care but it wasn't as bad or I got used to it but seemed to fizzle out towards the end of our stay. But it did vibrate the floor in the front bedroom some. My girls in the back bedroom didn't really hear it so that was a bonus. If you love bars and dancing (they teach salsa some nights) till late this would be an ideal location. It you need quiet to sleep- not so much or at least until after 2 am. But with that being said we loved the location, the deck and Zoraida was wonderful. Thanks for a Great Stay

Great location and apartment!

Loved the space and location. Very central to everything in Playa. 8 minute walk from ADO bus station. Very clean and spacious for 4 people. Can definitely sleep more. Apartment is right above Zensi bar and you can hear the music playing but didn't bother us. We enjoyed salsa dancing there a few nights and they have salsa classes! We'll be back!
