"Amazing room and location!"

"I had a brilliant stay at Solemare. It's in a superb position facing the marina, nearly all rooms seem to have a balcony and lovely view. I was on foot, but there seemed to be plenty of secure parking in an adjoining car park. There is also a swimming pool which felt pleasantly warm even in May. I didn't try the dining room, but enjoyed a drink and snack in the waterfront lounge and bar, managed by the efficient and charming Aurelien. It had a great view and even rugs thoughtfully provided against a cool breeze off the water! I'm surprised Solemare is only rated 3 stars!"

"I don't have enough superlatives for this hotel. It's a calm, beautiful, well maintained and classy hotel with a breathtaking view on Bonifacio. Given the boutique style of the hotel you can really enjoy the beautiful nature of Corsica in all calmness. If you do find it too crowdy at the main pool you can always isolate yourself at the second pool which is reserved for specific rooms only. If you really want privacy than I recommend taking a suite like we did. It has its own (small) pool with a beautiful terrace. The suite itself could have been bigger but is very clean, well decorated and has a beautiful sea view. Breakfast is available at the hotel and should be taken at least once. I never had breakfast with such a stunning view. The breakfast is nice and has all it needs. However, if you're staying for a longer period you will get bored as the food is always the same. It would have been nice that some things are added or changed. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. We ordered some massages in the room and they made it happen. I came to Corsica to relax and I came back with my batteries fully charged. This is all thanks to Cala di Greco (and the beautiful weather). FYI: Most of the rental cars are electric. Luckily the hotel has like 8 charging stations so you never run out of juice."

"Very convenient for Sardinia ferry and old town. Very windy at the end of April restricting use of room terrace despite sun. Good breakfast and plenty of restaurants in old town which is only a short walk away."

"Spent three nights here and had a fantastic stay. The staff was extremely helpful in booking taxis and helping with dining options. Staff in the wine cellar were incredible and created a fun atmosphere. As noted in other reviews there is a night club attached to the property which can be loud, however, our stay in room 316 was quiet even at peek hours for the club. The rooms were clean as well as the facilities within the hotel and you are in prime walking distance from the citadel, boat tours and tons of dining options. "

"We loved our 6 night stay in this very well appointed and located Apartment- right in the midst of the old town sector of beautiful Bonifacio. The Apartment was very clean and equipped with everything you could ever need on holiday including if you choose catering in on occasions- although the extent and array of cute bars and restaurants all around you makes eating out very desirable. Communications with the owner Germaine were excellent, she was always super helpful with advice ( good restaurants and best beaches etc ) and arrival instructions were clear as it is always a bit daunting to arrive in a little hill top town by car so this de-stressed the arrival procedure. We were met by Stephanie the owners local contact person ( who works just below the Apartment so was nice to know that local advice was handy if needed ) who settled us in - with the help of Goggle Translate as we have no French but all went fine albeit a few laughs as we sorted the finer points with the assistance of Translate ! We are a 65 year old couple in reasonable shape for age and it was a bit of a puff for 30 seconds while we got our suitcases up the very steep internal stairs from the street to the apartment door. We always took extra care going up and down the stairs as they are steep and fairly unforgiving if you missed your footing. If you were older and/or had mobility issues I would suggest you might struggle. Once installed you will find the interior of the Apartment to be very tasteful."
