« Great place!! There were some renovations and building happening during my stay but it was still quite nice, comfortable, rooms were super clean and cozy. Staff were super hospitable! The only issue was the drainage in the bathroom, the floor isn’t on a tilt so the water stayed level and wouldnt go to the drain properly. But everything else was 10/10 »

« Le Gardenview Homestay est à première vue un endroit charmant, un jardin joliment décoré avec quelques chambres autour.
Les points positifs :
C'est relativement bien situé (même si il faut un scooter pour vraiment apprécier l'île)
Il y a une fontaine à eau à disposition
Ils proposent une location de scooter qui est très bien (bon scooter, bon prix et pas de mauvaises surprises)
Calme la nuit.
Le wifi fonctionne très bien (quand il n'y a pas de coupures d'électricité).

« The facilities are really nice in general but the new rooftop hangout is going to really make this hostel stand out when things go back to normal. Such a great place to hangout, have drinks after surfing, watch movies on a rainy day or play play or other games with other travellers!

Le resort est à moins de 10mn de GL en scooter. Les villas peuvent accueillir de 4 à 6 personnes, cependant à 5 nous étions un peu à l'étroit car il n'y a que 2 lits doubles et un canapé assez étroit qui ne fait pas canapé lit. Hotel staff is accomodating, always have a smile, are welcoming and happy :) Booked for 1 night and ended up extending for the length of my time in Siargao. Overall loved the hotel! »

« The main complaint is about the dogs that bark all night long and they’re very violent and aggressive dogs that are so loud that they wake you up all night long!!! Also the room that’s upstairs has no bathroom so you have to walk all the way down and around just to take a pee in the middle of the night »

« The stay was wonderful. The location is near all the restaraunts in General Luna. The restaraunt probably has one of the best pizzas I have ever had, especially since Inhad pizza in Napoli before. The service was top notch and all the staff made me feel welcome. I recommend anyone visiting Siargao for the first time to try the Henry out. »

« Great location! Close to everything. We wanted to try other hotels so we only stayed a couple nights. When it was time to check out and asked if we could hire a transfer to get to the other hotel they recommended us getting a tuktuk. Which our luggages did not fit in one tuktuk. Kind of disappointing. Restaurant staff was amazing though and also the tuktuk driver that helped us out. »

« Après avoir refusé la 1ère chambre qui ne correspondait pas à notre réservation, nous avons eu une grande chambre. On commence à avoir l'habitude ils nous font le coup dans tout les hôtels dans les îles des Philippines, ils essayent de vous refiler la chambre la plus bas de gamme pour pouvoir relouer votre chambre aux gens de passage... « The general quality of the service and the room is not worth the price.
The service at the restaurant is very slow and the front desk doesn't understand simple requests.
The room is not cleaned correctly and there is a lot of parties organized, if you want to sleep correctly don't take a room with ocean view because it's very close to the dancefloor. »

Les points négatifs :
Les chambres sont très rudimentaires.
Aucun rangement dans la chambre, toutes vos affaires seront posées par terre.
Pas de ménage fait. On est obligé d'aller demander du papier toilette, de vider nous même nos poubelles, de demander de nouvelles serviettes, ...
C'est vraiment très bruyant de bonne heure le matin et toute la journée (coqs, musique, travaux, le personnel qui parle et chante fort, ...)
Matelas très inconfortable.
Eau de la douche avec peu de pression et tout au plus tiède mais pas chaude.
Clim bruyante.
Quand il pleut (souvent) les égouts dégagent une odeur à vomir, impossible de se poser sur la terrasse.
Et nous avons à deux reprises trouvé des cafards dans la salle de bain."

Sur le papier ça s'annonçait plutôt bien. Emplacement parfait et tarif raisonnable. J'avais réservé pour 5 nuits.
J'ai du changer d'hôtel après 2 nuits.
En cause : l'agenda des coupures de courant (non précisé au moment de la réservation). Pas tant les coupures en soi (on s'adapte) mais le générateur électrique placé en face de ma chambre. Impossible de dormir, quasi 2 nuits blanches, un bruit sourd. Mais le pire c'est le personnel, totalement amorphe, affalé sur leur canapé et scotché à leur téléphone, totalement indifférent n'ayant même pas cherché à me dépanner autrement. A l'image du manager, sortant de sa sieste, qui visiblement n'avait aucune intention de faire quoique ce soit. Et encore moins de me rembourser.
Et je n'évoque pas la restauration, immangeable.
