Une belle carlingue de notation dans les bois, sur un lac (Pontoosuc), pourtant près de tout

  • C'est une maison originale de Lincoln Logs, nichée dans près de trois acres de bois privé, avec 100 pieds de façade sur le lac.

    Pas de bateaux à moteur bruyant à cette extrémité du lac, juste beaucoup d'animaux sauvages et un canot ou un kayak occasionnel.

    Un canoë artisanal est prêt pour votre plaisir.
    Belle vue sur le feuillage d'automne et très proche des stations de ski de Jiminy Peak et de Bousquet. La maison est disponible pendant la saison de ski. Le nouveau poêle à granulés de bois Harman garde la maison bien au chaud, même les jours les plus froids!

    Cabine peut accueillir cinq personnes, avec un lit queen dans la chambre principale, un lit double journal et un matelas pneumatique double dans le grenier et un canapé-lit double dans la tanière. Beaucoup de ventilateurs de plafond pour vous garder au frais et le poêle à granulés Harman pour la chaleur de l'hiver. Il y a aussi un poêle à bois Franklin original (bois fourni) pour les feux romantiques. Cuisine bien équipée et linge de maison. Une cuisinière à gaz Glenwood des années 1920 dans la cuisine. Grand téléviseur dans la tanière avec beaucoup de films à regarder. Dix par dix ont regardé Gazebo directement sur l'eau avec un foyer et des hamacs honduriens à proximité.

The property was exactly as advertised. It’s beautiful and fronts on an inlet of the lake. But what especially wowed us was the meticulous attention to detail. I’ve never stayed in a rental where so many things a guest would care about are provided. This was my favorite vacation rental.

The house is a perfect place for a relaxing stay, near the water, and close to everything in the area, yet removed enough to feel like you're in the middle of the forest. John was excellent to communicate with, and we look forward to coming back in the future.

The cabin continues to be a magical place. It is incredibly comfortable and homey and the property is set up to meet all the needs you may have- indoor fires, outdoor fires, grilling, smores, movies indoor or outdoor, paddling, and birds upon birds that beg to be watched. This was our third year and we will keep coming back.

We found a paradise. Our stay in this beautifully crafted cabin provided a wonderful escape. All needs and even those unanticipated were provided by John whether in the kitchen, by the lake and throughout the beautiful grounds. We grilled both at the cabin and by the lake, kayaked and relaxed in the hammocks. A special treat was the groundhog family the came out to nibble grass in the evenings. The home is full of history enhanced by John's family photos. We are grateful for the opportunity to have stayed here.

Great cabin on the lake with loads of amenities and welcoming touches. It was just me visiting a colleague but this is a great place for a group retreat or family fun as well as a peaceful place for someone traveling solo. Excellent and communicative host and I really enjoyed my time here.

Peaceful getaway on the lake

What a tranquil, relaxing getaway on a beautiful lake surrounded by nature! Enjoy the hand-crafted canoe, evenings by the fire pit, and lots of hiking in the area.

Cozy cabin

We loved our stay! Great, cozy, well maintained, cabin with lots of privacy. Our kids loved sleeping in the loft and had a blast playing into the shallow water by the dock.

Great visit to the Berkshires. The house is setback from the road and you have great privacy but also very convenient. Easy access to all the Berkshires attractions.

Lovely, unique accommodations. John was extremely responsive and kind. Well maintained property and clean, ample, well-stocked cabin with thoughtful touches. The memory foam on the primary bed was a little too soft for our liking but everyone's personal preference varies. Impressive array of lakeside ammenities including hammocks, firepit, grill, and outdoor sleeping tent. Sunset and moonrise on the lake was a highlight. Also enjoyed kayaking in the early evening. Spotted an otter in the water at dusk. Onota Lake was great for swimming. Nearby Ashuwillticook Trail was perfect for an easy, flat and shaded morning bike ride. For local eats, we enjoyed Second Drop Coffee for breakfast or Whitney's Farm stand for lunch. A short ride to Mt. Greylock summit made for a nice excursion. All in all, it was a great stay in a central location for our first trip to the Berkshires.

Beyond expectation - a hidden Gem

I could not be more satisfied with the experience we had during our short stay. It was actually very nice to be more in the quiet Cove vs the main lake area… Paddling via canoe or kayak to the main lake area and swimming off of the island there was quite special.
