Great House, Not So Great Neighborhood
Funky older home, but very very clean and comfortable. The host has really thought of all the details that make a stay easy and pleasant. Note, that there are a lot of stairs to the house and in the house. We had no issue with that (if fact our kids has so much fun scooting up and down all the different staircases. haha), but it would certainly be an issue for those with mobility concerns. Our only complaint is the neighborhood. For example, there are a lot of crumbling houses and abandoned businesses in the area, tons of litter, we had some people outside the house one night arguing loudly (one threatening to call the police/parole officer of the other). That said, I would probably stay here again, but I am pretty comfortable with "gritty" urban environments from years of city living. It might not be a comfortable neighborhood environment for all travelers.
