Pittsburgh's Mexican War Streets are a historic home buff's dream! Originally called Buena Vista, the streets in the area were named after various Mexican War people & places, and most of the homes in the area are from the 1800s! Mattress Factory Museum, Randyland, great coffee shops, restaurants, and a handful of bars call the War Streets home. Plus, you're an easy walk to North Shore attractions like PNC Park, Heinz Field (let's be real, it'll always be Heinz Field), and all of the bars & restaurants of the North Shore. A super safe & family friendly area, it feels more like a NYC or Boston neighborhood than Pittsburgh - you'll love it!
We recommend using Uber or Lyft to navigate in Pittsburgh. It's a notoriously difficult city to drive in (but we have little traffic!) They're affordable and abundant. Public transportation is an option, and Pittsburgh is surprisingly bikeable as well!
We will provide enough initial supplies for 2-4 weeks of your stay; guests will be responsible to replenish if they run out prior to check out By booking, Guest and all guests of Guest agree to be bound by our Terms & Conditions, found here: https://www.hostwisestays.com/bookingagreement. We encourage our guests to read these carefully. Key Ts & Cs (but not limited to) are listed below.
1. Smoking (or vaping) is not allowed in the apartment. Smoking is allowed outside the building 50' from the front door. Please dispose of butts. A minimum $3,000 remediation fee will apply if smoking is detected inside.
2. People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. The Host has not represented this unit as an event facility, therefore, additional guests are permitted only with prior notice; up to 4 for a total of 8 at any given time. At no time may any of these visitors remain overnight or assume any guest privileges whatsoever.
3. The Host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Host is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Host allows children with the following stipulations: Guests are responsible for any and all necessary 'child proofing'. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
5. There is no daily housekeeping service. While the condo has been thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and linens and bath towels are included, daily maid service is not included in the rate. We will offer a complimentary clean every 30 days, laundry excluded.
6. Pets are not permitted; any pet being "snuck" into the condo will result in a minimum $750 cleaning fee.
8. Cleaning fees are paid to assure Guest's arrival to a clean property, not to clean up post-checkout "messes." While we don't ask or expect Guests to clean prior to leaving, we do expect reasonable cleanliness standards followed - garbage thrown away, spills cleaned up, etc. Cleaning required due to excess messiness will result in additional costs, charged at a rate of $40/hour.
