« We liked the location but there was no ocean view. There was a very small bit of ocean above the tree tops…….not an ocean view. The appliances were in fairly good working order; but the basket of the coffee pot was dirty/badly stained and the toaster came on but it didn’t toast. The beds were comfortable. « We enjoyed our stay. Great value and certainly as advertised. The property is close to the road so may not be as suitable for young families. There is definitely some road noise but otherwise a good spot. »

« Michael, the host, was an excellent communicator. The property itself was in top-notch condition and super clean. The location was super for us to explore our Acadian heritage in the Cape Breton region, as well as explore the Cabot Trail. A totally unexpected bonus of the stay was to have my morning coffee on the back deck while literally watching the lobster fishermen run their pots just beyond the backyard. 4 thumbs up! »

« Older facility beautifully renovated!Front porch looking out onto a meadow, your own parking space, barbeque, two spacious rooms with their own temperature control. Staff was very friendly! We would definitely stay here again. »

« The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. The only way I was able to fill up water bottles was to ask the people at the lodge to go into the kitchen to fill my water bottles. I was also incredibly disgusted by the showers at Cabot Shores.
