Our spacious two bedroom, cozy river-front cabin is nestled in the scenic Texas Hill Country. Enjoy your coffee on the Cabin's large deck as the sun rises over the Medina River or sip some wine as the sun sets across the rolling hills. Inside, the Cabin is perfect for a family or small group wanting to get away from the city to enjoy all the region has to offer - you're just minutes from Medina Lake and Bandera -The Cowboy Capital of the World. This place is the perfect escape!
This cabin has the Medina River as its back yard. In high water season, you can launch your boat or jet skis from our property and float out to Medina Lake. Please note, the river level is currently VERY LOW and mostly dry. Also please don’t be surprised when you drive in to the community as some of the surrounding homes are not in the best shape. We can’t do anything about our neighbors, but we sure can do everything within our control to provide the best experience for our guests.
The huge deck is perfect for star gazing at night while you grill up that perfect T-Bone while you kick back a cold brew, roast some S'mores and strum a guitar, or sit in the hot-tub. You can also enjoy the huge flagstone patio under the main deck.
As you walk in the cabin you will enjoy the open concept layout. The cabin's kitchen is large and has an island perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner! The living room is cozy and ready to kick off your boots or flip-flops at the end of a long day. In the winter, the fireplace makes it even more relaxing. Indoors, the game room is perfect for fun with friends and family. Enjoy the shuffleboard, or sit down at the dealer's table for your favorite card game.
The place has great Wifi in case you need to work or play.
If you want to just chill at the cabin property, relax those achy muscles in the hot-tub, or play some volleyball in the sand, or read a book at the riverfront pergola!
At the end of a long day, the bedrooms and bathroom's cabin feel will help you fall fast asleep.
The cabin is in a country residential area, yet the space is very private, quiet, and serene. There is plenty of paved parking at the cabin and has boat ramp access. However, the river water level is very low and mostly dry at the moment and you must use other nearby boat ramps for lake access.
Interaction with the hosts is minimal as we do our best to ensure your peace and quiet. Check-in is easy and does not require our presence. Of course, if you have any issues during during your stay, we are available to answer any questions during reasonable hours.
When you arrive in Bandera County, you will experience a feeling of "getting away from it all." Enjoy the great outdoors at one of our two State Natural Areas or along one of the top-rated scenic drives in our beautiful Hill Country. Live the cowboy lifestyle at one of the numerous dude & guest ranches, take in a rodeo or a gunfight reenactment, and boot-scoot around the dance floor at any one of our honky-tonks. Mingle with the locals in our restaurants and shops - you'll be amazed at just how friendly everyone will be. Practice saying "howdy" and you'll fit right in!
The water level on Medina Lake & River vary seasonally and can be low in drought years. When the river is high (please inquire), you can launch your boats right from the "back yard." There are several lake access points nearby in case you can't launch from our property.
PLEASE NOTE: the surrounding homes/community as you arrive to the cabin is not as nice as we would like it to be. Don't worry, keep driving past them! While we cannot control the upkeep of our neighbors home, we do our best to control our cabin and all it has to offer our guests.
The local Hill Country community has a lot to offer!
Bandera, only 5 minutes away, is the Cowboy Capital of the World! Named this due to all the dude ranches in the area. It is a small town with everything you need - from grocery stores, to Wal-Mart, to saloons! Bandera About 20 minutes to the south is Helotes, Texas with the famous Floore's Country Store (a favorite hangout of Willie Nelson) and now one of the top music venues in the area. Drive a bit further, and you're in San Antonio, but frankly, you won't want to go to the city after getting away from it!
Lastly, we recently paved our drive way and is now very safe especially for our motorcyclist guests!
