  • Profitez de superbes vacances en famille ou d'un week-end de mariage dans Charlevoix en séjournant au Bonnie Lodge! Nous sommes parfaitement situés à moins d'un pâté de maisons de la plage du lac Michigan et d'un pâté de maisons du centre-ville de Charlevoix. Le Bonnie Lodge dispose de 6 chambres, 3 salles de bain complètes, cuisine, salle de petit déjeuner spacieuse, salle à manger, buanderie et un porche qui donne sur les plus beaux couchers de soleil du lac Michigan à Charlevoix!

    Le Bonnie Lodge a été construit en 1897. Nos parents ont acheté notre résidence d'été à une tante en 1975. Notre mère est née sur l'île Beaver et a grandi dans Charlevoix.

    Faites des souvenirs de famille amusants à Charlevoix comme nous l'avons fait depuis des années! Profitez des deux belles plages du lac Michigan (Michigan Beach) et du lac Charlevoix (The Depot Beach). Nous aimons passer la journée à The Depot Beach à jouer au volley-ball, à la natation et au barbecue. Michigan Beach comprend des concessions et des baignades le long du phare de Charlevoix. En outre, à quelques pas du poisson de la jetée, aucun bateau n'est nécessaire pour pêcher. Laissez tomber une ligne et attrapez votre achigan à petite bouche. Prenez le temps de découvrir le meilleur golf du Midwest! À Dunamaglas, vous apprécierez le paysage paisible. Prenez le ferry Ironton pour 9 trous à Ye Nyne Olde Holles. En ville, emmenez les enfants au plus ancien club de golf du Michigan, le Charlevoix Golf Club (9 trous). Faites une promenade au centre-ville de Charlevoix pour faire du shopping et manger. Terry's est idéal pour les familles. Beaucoup de choix dans leur menu mais connu pour les meilleurs poissons blancs de la ville! Pour la gastronomie, je recommande The Grey Gables à l'extrémité sud de la ville. Profitez du joueur de piano le week-end avec quelqu'un de spécial. Sept minutes de Castle Farms Michigan Mariages et lieu d'événements. Girouette située juste à côté.

Loved our stay! Host was very responsive & check in was easy. We had 6 adults & 5 kids in our party and had plenty of space for everyone. Perfect location- we were able to walk to the beach & to town for restaurants and shopping. We were in Charlevoix for a wedding at castle farms which was just a short drive from the house. We would definitely stay there again.

Quaint house from 1900, 4 minute walk into town for breakfast & lunch! Less than 2 minutes down same street to the water for beautiful views. Lake views from the porch. Amenities galore, comfortable beds and pillows. Perfect location, would definitely stay here again!Right across from the Hotel Earl where we needed to be :-)Host Glenn was easy to get in touch with… Great communication.

If you are looking for location to downtown- look no farther!! This historical house is within walking distance to everything downtown has to offer. This house works well with larger parties. The host was very responsive to answer questions or to address any situations. Parking was plentiful on this quiet dead end street.

This home is pure magic. Steps from the lake, and steps from downtown. Decorated with antiques, beach things, and historical photos. Great for a big family or group. A great front porch, back deck, and lots of comfortable spaces. You can feel the history and great times in this historical home. Outstanding pricing for the enjoyment. The host would get my vote for the VRBO Hall of Fame. Great communication and a true desire to make your stay perfect. The Bonnie Lodge deserves more stars than they offer!

Great location

This home is perfectly located to walk to shopping, restaurants and the lake. Everything we would need was there at the house. It may be an older home but quite cozy and again the location couldn’t have been better. We all enjoyed everything about our trip and stay.

Great for big groups!

We rented the Bonnie Lodge for a wedding at Castle Farms. The location could not have been more ideal with only having to walk two blocks to be in downtown Charlevoix. There is plenty of space for larger groups to enjoy your stay in northern Michigan!

Spacious and great location

Property was incredibly comfortable, kids loved roaming from room to room, and excellent communication with the property manager. Easy walk to downtown. While this was not an issue for us, there was limited space to prepare food.

Wedding weekend

Great location. Clean house. Plenty of amenities. Glenn was so welcoming. Needed a last minute pack and play crib for the baby and it was delivered before bedtime. So flexible on check out! Made us fall in love with Charlevoix!

Great location!!! Bottom floor could use some updating kitchen sink not ideal for doing dishes. Could use a good cleaning for cobwebs etc. trash was full when we got there a few repairs needed but overall great location and stay!!

About what we expected

Perfect location, dated facility, needs upgrading but still warm and comfortable. Given the opportunity, would likely stay there again. Fix the broken bedspring in the double bed in the southernmost bedroom on the main floor. Also, one of the metal chairs in the porchlike dining area is broken.

Our family of 7 came up to Charlevoix for a wedding. The location was perfect for our travel to the wedding venue. Walking to downtown Charlevoix was only 3 short blocks to pubs, wine bars, boutiques, a local grocery store, the marina, community park & beaches on Lake Michigan & Lake Charlevoix. The sunsets over Lake Michigan were beautiful & could be viewed from the front porch/yard . Bonnie Lodge is a nostalgic older house with vintage farmhouse decor. The main areas & bedrooms were spacious with comfortable seating & beds. The kitchen was the smallest area but worked for us since we only prepared/ ate breakfast & a couple of lunches there. Glenn was great communicating with us. We all enjoyed our stay !

Charlevoix Visit

The house was great, it is quite large and easily accomodated my family of 10 people and allowed privacy for the adults. My only issue was the small kitchen with the very old sink. It will not function well if you would like to cook while visiting northern Michigan. The appliances are great but the size of the space was very small. Otherwise, a great stay and trip!

Good and bad

A great location - lots of bedrooms but many interconnecting so not as private as one might want. Kitchen small but well equipped. There aren't many instructions for how to use the tv, the remote for the heaters, etc. The heating was a big problem as we all froze in the main room where we spent most of our time - just a small wall heater there. If it's summer that would not be a problem.

Such a nice home in an amazing location.

The title says it all. If you are looking for the absolute best location in Charlevoix this is it. Walk to the bridge in 2 minutes, to the beach in 10, and anywhere else in about 5. The home itself was just as impressive. The entire upstairs seemed like it had been renovated somewhat recently. It wasn't stuffy like some older homes in the area, the beds and bedding were comfortable, towels soft, and everything was very clean. The main level was also very nice and offered plenty of room for our entire group. (We were 6 adults and 6 kids). The kitchen is a little small but came equipped with everything needed. Overall I'd be happy renting this home again and gladly recommend it to anyone considering it.

Bonnie Lodge Review

What do you think of this: The location of this property is excellent, and it's quiet, especially given its proximity to the CVX bridge. The kitchen is not up to date and presents a challenge for a large group. It's well appointed with paper plates, napkins, cups, plastic cutlery, pots and pans, and condiments. But it's not really conducive to cooking for a full house, as the sink is tiny and there is no dishwasher. The beds are all very comfortable; some of the furniture needs updating, particularly in the living room. It's important to understand the layout of the house: it's good for families and kids. Two of the upstairs bedrooms connect and do not have private entrances. A downstairs bedroom is sandwiched between a bathroom and another bedroom. It was a challenge for our group, as we had separate couples in each room. That said, we had a great time in CVX, especially in the front yard where there are portable outdoor chairs available for and ample porch seating. Glenn was great and welcoming in responding to my initial call about the door code. I was assured he was available whenever I needed him (which was only once).

Great location!

The house is a fun place for a large group. The location is great - although you have to be aware of when the drawbridge goes up when headed into town (just a couple blocks away). The owner was responsive and check in was easy. It was just as pictured! A couple things to be aware of - there isn't a good gathering place in the yard, and the kitchen would be challenging if you were there for a week with a large group and cooking at home. Otherwise all was wonderful!
