We absolutely loved this house! Everything was spotless when we arrived, and we all appreciated the food, games and DVDs left for us. It was really helpful to have all the drawers and cupboards labeled, and it was nice to not have to do much in regards to cleanup before we checked out. We'll definitely stay here again!

Weekend stay

Property was nice loved hanging out on the porch area. Was concerned with no central air but we wear more than comfortable every room had a ceiling fan and sore sort of other fan as well. Plus portable ac units that we never actually used. Plenty of towels :) always a bonus. Overall it was a nice stay.

The Green Door

It was just what we were looking for clean,private and perfect amount of bedrooms.Also really enjoyed not having any mosquitoes around as we had a campfire in the evening.

Feels like home!

Pentwater Family Vacation 2023

We’ve been going up to the Pentwater/ Ludington area for about 20 years. Now we vacation with our kids and grandkids. Went to up north petting zoo which was very nice. Went to both Charles Mears and Ludington state park which we love The biggest downfall for us was the lack of open restaurants. We wanted to go out on a Monday for my sons 40th birthday, village pub and brown bear were both closed so we ended up at Gulls Landing which was ok.

Green Door Farmhouse-Full Of Charm

We had a great week staying in Pentwater at the Green Door Farmhouse. The house is charming and the amenities provided were an added bonus! We liked staying out in the country and the drive in to town wasn’t bad…about 13 minutes. The owner was very accommodating and answered questions/texts very timely. There was lots of room in the house so we could all hang out together and have quiet time to ourselves if needed. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. 😊

Excellent!

Our group of 10 all agreed our stay here was perfect! Plenty of room, quiet country setting and plenty of extras that aren't normally supplied (was thankful for the extra toothbrush as my husband forgot his) nice having shampoo already there, paper plates, breakfast, the list goes on. Enjoyed the firepit and they had plenty of lawnchairs already there. Everything was perfect, took long rides on the harleys 3 of the days and also rented a pontoon, lots to see and do. Stopped at a bar close by and we were talking to a gentleman who was related to the host so he gave us a little history on the farm, we loved that! Thank you to the Host for letting us enjoy your wonderful farm house!!

Very Welcoming Property

Came and stayed with our immediate family and then was joined by a couple of others during the week. The hosts made us feel very welcome from the beginning. Plenty of room for all and we loved what they have done with the place. The only down side was that it was super hot when we arrived as no one had rented just before us and the air conditioners were not on. It really took 24 hrs for them to catch up to the heat. We had a great week and enjoyed our stay at the Green Door!

Great Place for a large family

The house was clean and included many *extra* hospitable things that were such a gift to us. It was nice to be at a house where all of the adults and kids had a nice bed to sleep and plenty of space to spread out! We enjoyed being away from more crowded locations, but still close enough to enjoy the beaches and other attractions near by.

Great home & location

This is a great place to stay. First, it's clean & obviously well cared for; second, it has everything you need PLUS breakfast foods and even toothbrushes in case you forgot yours. The country location is quiet and lovely. Pentwater, a 10 minute drive, is a great little waterfront town with many unique shops. Ludington, a 15 minute drive, has a beautiful public Lake Michigan beach. We are hoping to be able to return next summer

Peaceful getaway

We were looking for a quiet place to stay that was relatively close to beach and shopping. This fit the bill for us. Even though we were approximately 30 miles away, we were not bothered by traffic or noise. My husband was able to sleep well all week. The weather was cool and we were not able to visit the beach as much as we would like, but we enjoyed the area and went to Mackinac Island, 3 hours away. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, and don’t mind driving a short distance, this is the place to go.

Michigan vacation

This home was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed staying in the peaceful and beautiful countryside setting. Everything was pretty close . We visited Ludington state park and biked around, rode Mac woods dune rides, ate ice cream at Whippy dips and visited a few lighthouses. Nice area! Can’t wait to go back again!

Christmas Farmhouse 2022

We had the amazing privilege of staying at this beautiful farmhouse for our family Christmas 2022. Our hosts were nothing short of exceptional with hospitality and understanding during a blizzard and also an emotional Christmas for our family. The home itself is very clean and spacious allowing for our family to feel cozy and still able to have space from each other if needed. Each room had cozy blankets waiting to be used along with handmade slippers waiting for us under a REAl Christmas tree ready to be decorated 🎄 The hosts opened the home for us early so that we could reach the farmhouse before the blizzard made traveling impossible. The hosts make sure guests have coffee supplies, breakfast supplies waiting upon arrival. In this case we were so blessed to have supplies waiting for us as we rushed to the home to beat the blizzard. On day two our host brought us a delicious apple/cherry pie 🥧 in frigid temperatures and howling winds. The two electric fireplaces made this home extra cozy during the storm. We have stayed at many Vrbos located around the United Stars and this was the best experience we have had.

You’ll always remember you’re time here!

It doesn’t get better than The Green Door!! In fairness, this is my family’s farm house. So it is familiar to me…but this was a different kind of special. The way Cherrie and Nancy have decorated and thought of all the details that make you feel relaxed and comfortable here are unmatched. It’s beautiful and clean with plenty of space! I brought my friend-family to meet my family-family and this home was perfect! We had Thanksgiving dinner and watched ‘Elf’ a few times! They even put up a Christmas tree for us to make it a little more festive! It was a week I will always cherish…and expect to do again! Thank you again, Cherrie and Nancy!

A dream vacation home!

Clean and private! The house is as cute as can be. If you come at a really hot time of year, the air conditioning might not be strong enough, but we had no issues in September. There are plenty of fans.

Great Old Farmhouse

This great old farmhouse was a nice respite from a busy wedding weekend in Pentwater. The house was in great shape and Charlene was very accommodating with early arrival of one of our guests. The fact that she provides some breakfast foods is really icing on the cake. It is a little out in the country, but several towns are nearby, It is only about 10 minutes to the great beach at Charles Mears State Park.
