Chalets à Penrith

« Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. « This was lovely place to stay - we were in the last two 'legs' of a 1300 mile road trip to Scotland (and back!) - possibly the best, as it matched all our needs for a quiet evening, in a beautifully-appointed, clean ensuite room, and a restful comfortable sleep! Our hosts, Mark & Paula were welcoming (tasty cookies!), quiet and unobtrusive (checking what bed configuration - king or twin - we wanted in advance), serving our preferred choice of tasty breakfasts at our room 's table & chairs....

« Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10 »
