« This is a great place to stay! There is so much room for people. The third floor king suite has its own little sitting area and bathroom. The main floor has a huge dinner table and sitting space for folks. Then downstairs has a whole couch pool table video games. There was so much space that no one felt cramped or tripping over each other. The kitchen is so well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware etc. The gas grill was a huge save for Christmas dinner. I would recommend...

« The abode is located in the basement of a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. It has a private entrance, very spacious living room and a small kitchenette. There was plenty of towels provided as well as an ironing board/iton, broom and vacuum. Since it is in the lower level of a home, you do have the noise of people above you but it was very quiet at night and in the early morning.It snowed while we were visiting and the host was so kind he cleared our walkway too. We would definitely stay...

« Everything was in good condition and working order. The lodging was clean and organized. We did find one towel the cleaning crew missed on the back of the downstairs bathroom door, but it certainly a big deal. »

« This home did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed having many outside activities at the home. Inside was set up perfectly for tons of family fun. This was our favorite house yet, and we have been coming once a year for 4 years. Highly recommend this home for large groups with kids. »

« First time here, staying in the lodge in a themed room with a fantastic view and wonderful sunrise. Food was excellent in the restaurant. The surprise came when we found out that a large fireworks display was being held at the lodge! We did not have to go anywhere for anything! One little complaint: we heard the people above us. Other than that, great experience! »

« We had a fabulous weekend getaway at this property. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location is great for access to hiking trails and the Shenandoah mountains. When we arrived, the hot tub was not cleaned and was cold but the owners responded right away and got the cleaners to arrive within a couple hours to clean it. They were extremely responsive and answered all questions quickly. »

« Check-in was great. The Castaway Cottage was just how it was listed. The back porch was the best part, it was big enough for the whole family to hang out. Unfortunately when we were there it was very hot and the ceiling fans on the porch did not work. Maintenance came to try and fix them but he could not. He even came back a second time to give us another remote control to try. It did not work either. He didn’t get it fixed but was very nice and was very prompt to come out and try and fix it. He...

« The drive up to the lodge was beautiful. We passed the chickens and goats on the way. The grounds are vast, creating a quiet, enchanting atmosphere. We were reserved for a 2nd floor room but requested a change to 1st floor after we arrived. The office was closed but there was an after hours number we could call. They switched our room without any problem and the staff (Tina, I think?) was so pleasant and accommodating. Our room was SPOTLESS and so well decorated, we felt like we hit the jackpot....

« Beautiful home with serene views of the river, very quiet and peaceful. River access was easy with stairs right to it and TWO decks over looking. The screen porch is an added bonus with hot tub. Plenty of towels, washing clothes provided. Check in was very easy & communication was great! The pup enjoyed it as much as we did, the weather was very hot (recird breaking) the window units kept up the best they could to keep us cooled.
